  1. Tomorrow marks 4 weeks and this week the scale hasn't moved. Only 18lbs down. Is this normal?

I just assume it would be more since I'm not even eating.

  2. Day 6 of a 2 week clear liquid diet...this sucks so bad!!  :47_tired_face:   I'm so frustrated and angry and FRUSTRATED!!  I am so hungry and want to eat so bad!  I can have sugar free jello, popsicles and Crystal Light but the artificial sweeteners are just so bad!  I keep telling myself I'm almost half done but honestly it's not helping much.  This better be freaking worth it...👿

I know your pain. It's hard. I'm four weeks tomorrow and I'm still on a mostly liquid diet because pureed food isn't for me.

  4. Post op Day 20...

I haven't posted an update for a few days because I was feeling blue. Mostly TBH- having a pity party because the scale had not moved in a few days. I also was reading too many post on here and sometimes I would compare myself to others, or chastise myself for not counting the calories more. But honestly most of the food I I have been eating is at 1/2 a cup or less. I have found for me to get in my protein I am needing to continue to drink at least 1 Premier Protein drink  a day. Sometimes I also add an isopure, because I am so scared of not meeting that goal. Plus I noticed some hair coming out in the shower...not much. But it has been soooo long since I lost hair (to be exact since 2010 when I had my son) My husband has been so helpful...and encouraging. Last night I made vegetarian chili with three different types of beans. It was much more satisfying then having a little bit of sweet potato (which I never liked until after surgery) I do not really care for my post op diet. It has me eating a lot of  low fat cheese/ diary products and beans. I am not really a fan of diary to begin with. I am just getting tired of not having real protein I suppose. I am ready for some grilled chicken!! On a side note after I cooked dinner and read my son a book I got on the treadmill....I am noticing I cannot walk as long (my back starts killing me and my tummy hurts) but at least I walked. I know this isn't very motivational but I want to remember the highs and lows.

Today I was out and went to Boston market the onl u pureed they had was mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes which both I didn't want. I order the kid size turkey with gravy. I mashed it to pieces and chewed into I wanted to gag to ensure it was liquidfiedl. I got down a few bites without no problem.

  5. I recently had the gastric sleeve surgery date was 07/13/2017. So far the experience has been a bit rough and I've even been through some regret.  My gas pains were horrible and so far my energy level is nil.  I walk around the house but do get tuckered out pretty quickly.  Not really on the pain meds until bed time. Glad I joined there's lots of valuable info and now I don't feel alone in my journey

I'm 15 days post up and the struggle is real. The pureed stage sucks. Your still on liquid diet. I'm only down 12 lbs and in disbelief that it isn't more since I'm barely in taking 600 calories.
