  1. Congrats on the surgery! You know I haven't had any cravings yet. At 4 weeks i'm starting to get hungry at dinner time only. I've never had chicken and waffles before. Resist that damn chicken!

Gosh, I haven't had any except that. It's difficult because it's literally the best chicken I've ever had! If you ever make it to Northwest Arkansas it's a stop you should make!

  2. My surgery was a week ago and today is the first time I've craved anything. One of my friends opened up a chicken & waffles food truck. He has the most amazing chicken I've ever had. I visited him. I want some of that damn chicken. I can't wait until I can eat solids! But, thankfully, I haven't been hungry or craving anything otherwise!

  3. Well, I've started it.....I've scheduled my appointments at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY for bariatric surgery! Nutrition Seminar on 7/20, History & Physical on 7/25, and 1st Nutritionist 1 on 1 on 8/21.
Can anyone share what I can expect at these appointments?

I can't say for sure, but I can tell what happened at mine. I had to do 6 months of diet & nutrition appts to be approved by insurance. At my first appt, I had to do blood work, a stress test, ekg, and ultrasounds of my legs. My next appt I had to do a trans-nasal endoscope. I also had to do a sleep study to check for sleep apnea. The rest of my appts have been talking to nutritionists and dietitians discussing changes I've made and ways to make changes ongoing. Hope that helps! And good luck!
