  1. Sorry that I have to correct you on something you said! That 200 pounds is not lost, it’s GONE BABY!!!!!! Congratulations ????
  2. That is surprising!! Guess it depends on your doc.
  3. My hero! (She-ro?). I’m sorry about your break up but knowing that you channeled that anger and hurt and still triumphed is inspirational.
  4. That was amazing!! You need to have that somewhere as your inspiration!! Good luck. I have lost 90 pounds and it wasn’t until this weekend that I truly realized it. My boyfriend made diner reservations at some 5 star suit and tie dress up place and when I walked by the mirror all dressed up I realized I had changed! I like you still felt like I was extremely over weight.
  5. I think some are way more cautious than others. I was allowed to do the elliptical and stair climber before my friend was because she had a major hernia repair and they were worried about her. My hernia was considered simple ( her hernia part lasted 2.5 hours)
  6. Your body is reacting to the stress of surgery. Keep a log and take it to your appointments. Each person is different and many times we place our nondiabetic patients on insulin after surgery because of this reason and it’s temporary while in hospital. Great job monitoring it by the way!
  7. For me it was the dumping like syndrome from the fruit. I know that each doctor is different and at times my doc and nutritionist don’t always agree. Sometimes you have to tailor it to your needs. My plan allowed for fruit at 8 weeks but they still don’t allow fruit smoothies (something I thought was a great choice until I looked at the carbs). I usually add like half a banana in my shakes sometimes.
  8. Did you have a hernia repair as well? Sometimes that has a little to do with it.
  9. Thanks for your post. I hate the BMI chart
  10. Is popcorn out forever? My surgeon and nutritionist don’t seem to agree.
  11. I am having the hardest time getting my 800-1000 and I was sleeved six months ago! My nutritionist gave me a list and a sample plan. If I can find it I’ll send you a copy.
  12. Please don’t take it to meet your goal. You will end up creating more problems than it’s worth.
  13. Are you using them for fluid retention? Some people use them to dump water weight and it’s a bad idea. Mostly used for people with congestive heart failure & high blood pressure.
  14. That is perfectly normal. I did that the first time around. I actually didn’t show up for my surgery. This time it happened so fast that I didn’t have time to back out. What also helped is me starting a journal of the reasons why.
  15. Do what makes you happy! They will come around.
  16. Always call. Most have a backup person on call. As a healthcare provider and a sleeve patient I never play around with chest pain. Hope it all works out for you.
  17. Good luck. It depends on your insurance and your doctor
  18. I started the same weight !! At 50 l noticed others noticed before
  19. They say 6-12 because of the empty calories and by then you should hit your goal weight. (I asked why) on that note Id you have self control why not? Had a White Russian yesterday and it only took a few sips before I was like yeah that’s it the little pouch doesn’t like it. (sleeved 6/12/17)
  20. I did that also and then it was like boom 15 pounds gone. Continue with your water and protein and stop weighing yourself. I know it’s easier said but your body is going threw changes and the scale doesn’t always reflect it.
  21. I hate the premier protein as well. I use lean shakes by GNC. They have 170 calories, 25g of protein & 3 g of sugar. They have single ones in the stores and they have tubs that you can make your own with many flavors. During the holidays they have snickerdoodle (my fave!!!!). For me it has been trial and error to find what I like.
  22. Thanks for sharing. Mine just started falling out and I have been lacking in protein.
  23. Down 70 pounds in 4 months I'm catching up.
  24. Today I'm so excited. Was sleeved 6/12/17 and have finally hit 217! I've been at a pause for a few weeks. My goal is to be less than 200 by Halloween!
