  1. Reminds me of a Bible verse... "The wise man avoids all extremes" And another: For everything God creates is good when used according to his purpose ...these are from memory so might not be exact quotes. I can look them up if anyone wants the reference Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  2. I watch sugar not necessarily carbs. But usually I am less than 50 g. The worst day was 80. I don't eat anything with more than 7 g of sugar. I probably should be watching carbs more carefully, but getting in water and protein is all I can really manage right now. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135

  5. I wonder if it's from all the toxins that were stored in the fat and they are coming out now. Our dermatologist recommends cetaphil or cerave cleansers. I hope it clears up soon. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135

  8. We should have a meet up somewhere in Denver like a support group. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  9. In at 7 weeks and can now drink fairly easily. Sometimes really cold bothers bothers me. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  10. When I eat "normal" food it seems to trigger me wanting to munch all day! I had a tiny salad for lunch at work with grilled chicken. I had enough protein yesterday but just kept wanting to eat. Seems when I work in the office I just want to nibble all day. Does anyone else experience this? What do you do to avoid it? I ate 1000 calories yesterday- just because I let myself eat extra things. Normally I'm at around 600. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  11. I'd go to the dr. Doesn't sound good to me. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  12. Yes it does get slow but will pick up soon. Just keep plugging away at it. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  13. So sorry! Had mine out 4 days after my third c section - never even got to go home after having the baby until 8 days after her birth! Dual surgeries are no fun Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  14. A bug/ not big lol. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  15. I just saw an article on this topic written by a surgeon. It said to avoid liquids before and after you eat- 30 min to an hour after, 30 min before. It also said if you eat a larger meal make sure the following meal is small- it said the stomach is used to stretching and contracting so you don't want to constantly put more in than you should- one time won't do lasting damage, but continued it will get used to the stretched size. My surgeon said that after surgery it is the size of a straw or pen but a year out it is the size of a banana. I agree- don't test the limits. Keep portions small and chew, chew. That's my plan. I'm only 6.5 weeks out so I'm not an expert. I rely on my professionals. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  16. Let us know what he/she says. Was there any warning? Did you eat something different before it started? Could you have a big? I'm sorry you are experiencing this Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  17. Chew chew chew! It's hard to remember to slow down and chew thoroughly but it really helps prevent the pain. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  18. My surgery was easier than any other surgery I've had and I had 4 c section and a gall bladder removed. Pain was minimal. I agree with chynadoll- walk and take your pain meds and you will be fine. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  19. I only told a few people so my support system was small but solid, especially my daughter. It's natural to be afraid. Just remember why you are doing this- for your health so you will have more time with your husband. Does your hospital have a support group that meets? Mine does so I'm going to start going next week. That might be a food option for you. Good luck - I'll be praying for you. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  20. Im 6.5 weeks out. They had me swallow my capsules the first thing I swallowed the same day if surgery. I did 3 capsules that day- 1 every 15 min. Now I wait less than a min between my pills and do fine. I haven't ever crushed one- have taken 1 Tylenol once since surgery. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  21. Also, I agree, you should find a good therapist. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  22. I kind of disagree- I have loved my house, I've loved a job, I've loved riding my bike. I love to eat , but I'm not a binger. I feel like we should enjoy our basic needs just not to excess. Does that make sense? I still love finding good things to eat. I'm just satisfied with a small portion. I hear you though... ....But who doesn't love a good poop! Lol Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  23. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
  24. Gall bladder Did the er check your gall bladder? Pain radiating from front to back is often related to the gall bladder. It's usually under the ribs though. I get left shoulder pain which is very common after vsg. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 194 GW 135
