The thing is I am the same person as before... My weight was NEVER an issue or roadblock for me. I'm still a Master's holding, Art creating, multi-language speaking, world traveling, minimalist loving, hippy eco warrior I was before. ABSOLUTELY nothing has changed about me EXCEPT my weight. Those people who didn't see me clearly then can't possibly see me clearly now with the lust distraction...

Yeah, I've tried not to buy more than necessary, but I probably have. Had to buy for work to look professional. And then I have a vacation coming up up, so I needed clothes that fit for that as well. I'm keeping the tags on everything until I wear them for work clothes. For casual clothes I'm buying on the smaller side, so hopefully I can still wear them 30 lbs from now, the tops at least!

Oh, I decided against the rental sites. They're expensive for what you get IMO. Can't rent pants because they have to be tailored. And for dresses, I bought some in the $30-$50 range. So even that is more affordable than renting.

I need to get my fashion life together because I'm still shopping in the plus size section although I'm not plus sized anymore.
I only worry about weight if it goes up lol

Same, but I'm close to goal and I have a high cal diet (1000-1200) so I'm expecting this... I'll live, only 9 months out, I still have 9 months to go...

Is that how it works? I eat protein bars most mornings. One of the few solid foods I can eat. Are you saying they're really sliders?

I am sure all my lumps and bumps will not look anything like what my mind pictures! My mind just lies all the time to me anyway...lol
BUT I am already pretty happy with being able to FEEL lighter on my feet, fit into smaller clothes, etc. I think I will be satisfied, and especially after some 'nip/tuck', more like 'slash/extract/add/stretch/stitch' lol but anyway even that will not make all the internal parts 18 again, so any improvement will be just fine.

thats a very good question to ask yourself - it is about what you expected to happen when you reached that goal. Did you expect all the things you hated in life to just go away- not likely
or did you just want to feel better and be able to have more choices in your day to day life.
for me WLS was about getting the choice back. Will they all be the right choices, not hardly but they will be my choices to make once again.

Doesn't that blow your mind? I've had this happen time and time again. Makes me shake my head. I think sometimes a shake up to the ole metabolism wakes it up? Who knows....just glad once in a while we can have our cake (within reason) and lose weight, too:)
