    Stall- need advice

How about increasing leafy vegetables and fiber intake. How regular are your bowel movements? Can you try to get closer to 100 oz of water? (All recs of my NUT when I stalled for nearly a month) HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    Non Scale Victories

Do just that ounce by ounce pound by pound, lose what you can prior to surgery and we are all rooting for you to get surgery soon!!! HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    Non Scale Victories

I bought a $6 sale formal dress at forever 21 thinking I'll be able to fit it next year or give it away as a gift because it's a size large, tried it on and viola! I'm a size large in a store that runs notoriously small. Shook. HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

  7. Satisfaction also has a lot to do with being able to enjoy what you are eating and at two months post op I don't think there was anything I was truly enjoying , it was all work no games. Now I play with flavors and eat MUCH slower than I initially did. There is hope for the future HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    I think I'm mental...

Selfies Sounds vain but body dysmorphia is a trip and you can't always see the difference in real life. But pictures can clearly show progress !!! HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

bias against weed.. so tired of it.

It surely does not But for surgery purposes I would suggest switching to edibles to give your lungs a break and then you can safely tell them you have stopped smoking HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    NYS MEDICAID (Fidelis)

I suggest developing your new habits now. If you leave it all until right before surgery it becomes a stressor and the transition is not as smooth. HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]
  15. Hmmm Maybe I am under shooting my potential (which I'm not prone to doing) I have a lot to think about now Thanks for the words of wisdom HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    Dining with Friends

I went to lunch with a friend and had to make a ton of excuses about my food choice or lack thereof . This person does not know about my surgery (I want to keep all of my health issues private so I only told two people who are my proxies) How do you deal with friends without outright lying (not my style to lie) But still maintain your privacy? HW 270 SW 238 CW 182 VSG 11/7 [emoji146][emoji146][emoji146]
  17. Hmmm interesting I lost weight prior to surgery , developed healthier habits , increased Water intake, I'm at about 1200 cals daily yet my post op weight loss is slow, where would I fall in this study ? HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

    Follow Up

That is always a possibility But if you have uncomplicated surgery you only see them every couple of months for lab work, which can easily be ordered by your primary or a hematologist . I thought I would see my team ALL the time and I just don't , there isn't a need. You may want to consider going to your local Bariatrics seminars and support groups as those are almost always free and helpful HW 270 SW 238 CW 188 VSG 11/7 [emoji471][emoji471][emoji471]

I don't remember that being a requirement of insurance but definitely a requirement of my surgeon.
  21. Hmmm now I wonder what my goal/maintenance weight actually is? HW 270 SW 238 CW 182 VSG 11/7 [emoji146][emoji146][emoji146]

    Follow Up

In the state I have to follow up with both on a regular basis. Usually your primary has to be on board and sign off in order for surgery to happen. I hear alot of follow up for medical tourism is done electronically then mostly handled by your primary. So it would still be a good idea to let them know on advance What do you mean trouble being accepted? Insurance or socially?

Is everyone losing weight but me?

I get hormonal acne every month along with no loss, it happens . We can sit in the back of the class together and pass notes.

    Finally hit my goal

    Congrats!
  25. When i was in my twenties i had a friend have the procedure abd insisted that we stop for pizza on the way home from the hospital she was alert in minimal pain and most importantly upset when i objected to her request. She got her pizza in the end. When i had VSG my hospital roommate had the procedure and was up walking within the hour like it was nothing, she even felt sorry for me and wished me a speedy recovery as she glided home the next morning. It may not be that bad.
