    Protein Powders and Appliances

Seems like you have enough to me, the stage doesn't last terribly long so no need to buy more things you'll never use

No weight loss since started working out

You've lost over 100 lbs! How do you feel? How does your team feel about your progress? Congrats on your success!
  3. I was a vegetarian prior to WLS and became a meateterian (lol) after but currently transitioning back to plant based with the support of my team

What is a realistic WL monthly target?

I agree, there's no exact way to tell how much YOU will lose BUT ultimately your success will depend on your physiology and commitment. One thing you are in total control over so go hard core with following your plan.

    Anyone else having food dreams?

Early on I did also, I believe it was the stress of being so rigid and regimented. Also the fear of mistakes and failure. No dreams in months though...

    Sliders

Hey yes great question, foods that seem to slide right through your new stomach and trigger little to no restriction. For me I also it tends to be higher calorie foods, so it's dangerous to be able to eat alot because you are essentially eating around your surgery or cancelling the effects of it.

Can I have a half glass of Wine with a steak

Best to consult your team when it comes to timing of alcohol and moving forward on your plan but either way at seven weeks post op you are going to nurse the drink or meal heavily as both may be surprisingly unpredictable to tolerate now. Enjoy!

    The mileage

Look up Medicaid transportation in your state, they may be able to taxi you 1 855-852-3293

    Not feeling Full

Without more info I can only guess you are eating slider foods, things that do not trigger restrictions or high refined carb and sugar foods that do not trigger satisfaction and actually make you crave more. Dense proteins tends to sit heavy with most people despite type of surgery, leafy vegetables are necessary for fiber, nutrients and bulk (full feeling if you need it) Healthy fats make you feel full for longer. Can you share your daily diet? Have you consulted your NUT or team?
  10. Major NSV

Went to the movies with my children and refilled the popcorn bucket for them multi times and didn't touch a drop!

    I stuck with coffee

    Lucky.
  12. I am in panera drinking tea and went to use the bathroom,  this is the first time I have seen myself in a full length mirror naked ish and I look... OK but man I may need plastics. I was trying to avoid it and hoping slow weight loss would make a difference but I look pregnant (still) and noticing some skin drooping,  sigh.

I think you look great! Give your skin a bit more time before you get too hung up on plastics. Even losing slowly, you've lost a lot of weight in a short time!

See, I had to check on that nakedness in Panera myself, lol. You look great, we all have those nekkid skin issues.I will need major ps. I did read that it can improve with time. My old Weight Watchers leader said hers smoothed out alot after 6 years. At my age I'm not waiting 6 years to find out. Do whatever you need to to make yourself more comfortable even if it's more slicing n dicing.

  13. Protein bars are evil.  I've been on the go so much that it's been my go to meals lately so when I finally sit down with dense proteins and vegetables tonight (eggs beans cottage cheese kale bowl)  my restriction is crazy tight because I forgot about it. Lol no more slider bars for me

      Orchids&Dragons

Is that how it works? I eat protein bars most mornings. One of the few solid foods I can eat. Are you saying they're really sliders?

For me they appear to be, I wasn't big on them until recently so that may be a factor, but Im counting them amoung my high calories low restriction food groups and I want to monitor how often I eat these items.

      Orchids&Dragons

Oh, ok. I only eat one a day and always count the calories. I'm really not a breakfast person, so they let me hit the ground running.

    Struggling

When I was going on vacation I told my NUT all the foods I wanted to eat and she gave me the green light. I knew how to account for them and that I had to exercise aliitle more as well Also when I returned I knew I was back to normal plan and I think mentally just having everyone on board was huge

    Struggling

Game plan with your bariatric team to work foods into your plan so no more FOMO and ask for additional supports like therapy or support group

    Question for sleevers

I went with pink, red, white beans earlier on simply because they were softer. I (my sleeve) still prefers them now. I'm 7.5 months post op I was around 250 at consultation, 238 surgery day, currently 170 Hidden sugars are everywhere so carefully read food labels (f-ing yogurt) I could only stomach the protein shakes in coffee (premier caramel) or tea (premier peaches and cream ) THE BEST HACK EVER I use myfitnesspal which accounts for all macros if you load it properly. Takes the guess work out of everything for me and I can generate a report for my NUT I'm still trying to find the ideal brand of vitamins too after I spilled an entire new jar of gummies while cleaning. I'm trying Walmart's organic vegetarian multi vitamins next.

    Friends and family problems help!

Now may be the time where you find deeper strength in yourself and independence from the negative connections. Perhaps this is who they were all along and you can just see clearer now.

    Question for sleevers

That is unfortunate , sorry so many obstacles are in your path. If I was in your place I would keep it bare bones because you've got enough going on. Go right back to basics, advance slowly through the stages Minimum of 60g protein, 64 oz water, minimum of 30 minutes between eating and drinking, drinking and eating Avoid all added sugars and minimalize the consumption simple carbs (less than 50g daily) Strive to always eat proteins first then vegetables Hydration is crucial to weight loss Fiber is crucial to weight loss Vitamins are crucial to your lifestyle Track and stay accountable (pulled these tips from a handouts from support group, the topic was battling regain) Safe journey PS bug the temp NUT anyway. You are important too and the squeaky wheel gets the oil...
  23. GreenTealael

    I THINK IM OVEREATING.

Try to stay as close to your plan as possible for the best possible outcome. If all of these items are on plan and allowed, and you are eating the appropriate amounts at the appropriate times you should not have a problem. Remember to hydrate with low or no calories fluids and ask your NUT if you have any tough questions. Safe journey!

    Question for sleevers

Reach out to your bariatric team first for clarity, they may have ALL the answers you are looking for. The plans vary so greatly you may end up with more questions and no answers that will help YOU Currently I'm at: 60+ protein ,>80 carbs, ~45 fats I for example am very carbon sensitive so I tried to focus solely on protein earlier on but I also don't tolerate meat for long periods so I have to rotate food groups, then I said to my team I just want to be a vegetarian again and they said OK. I was expecting great resistance. My new rules are similar to old ones but I work with the NUT to make sure in not stunting my progress either.
