IDK what the solution is to the time issue is with dry beans I feel like you have to start a week in advanceb because I soaked them at room temp for about 16 hrs with 3 water changes band STILL had to cook them (regular pot) for 1+ hr 😩 The only consolidation is that I made a large batch for a meal prep so several portions went to the freezer (for my vegetarian boyfriend who barely eats vegetarian food... so now I'm fighting back 😂)

I made pinto beans (The long way from dried beans 😩) so I decided to make taco salad minus the taco- two meals, two days

Can you speak to someone else about it? Did the surgeon make a notation on your chart reflecting that you chose the DS to prove it is not your fault and the onus is on them to correct? Can you explain your deductible situation and urge them to fast track you? Can you afford to wait until January? Are you comfortable with just the sleeve? Good Luck ♥️

Update! Not much has changed so just a quick pic, nearly 11 months post MMO Actually one thing is that I unintentionally tanned deeply during the summer months so ALL of my Incisions darkened, even my old lap scars. c'est la vie. I'm a Fitzpatrick IV/V skin type so par for the course It doesn't bother me & I'm not worried about it because they're well hidden underneath underwear but I will need to address it at some point either through scar revision or some other modality Plastics totally changed my silhouette so no big deal

I haven't felt like using nice clothes because... bleh nowhere to go. But I couldn't resist buying this sweater dress because of the bell sleeves (and hem- not shown) This dress is an XL which is a little too loose in the bust , upper waist & arms perfect everywhere else!

Plastic surgery is a total game changer when it comes to fixing very loose skin but you may not need it. Try to focus on the positive changes you'll experience from WLS and cross that bridge when you get there.

All great suggestions! I would suggest starting to document your progress (photos videos, vlogs, etc) so you can see/remember your progress down the line.

Hi 👋🏽 Try as hard as you can to stick with the measured amounts and timed eating. (e.g. 1/4 cup of soft foods eaten over 15-30 mins) I know it's easier said than done when you're not used to it or even hungry, but it's really important so than you don't max out the capacity of your new stomach while it's healing or push foods through by overloading. Perhaps try to take slower bites or longer breaks between each bite. But also 4 ozs of softer foods tend to s l i d e down easier than 4ozs of solid proteins. Good Luck ♥️
