I’m ALWAYS cold
GreenTealael replied to BetterBelizeIt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My suggestion is to use a heating pad with auto-off timer instead of a blow-dryer (too risky). I use a heating pad/heated blanket/heated bed sheets nearly constantly since surgery because I'm also ALWAYS cold. -

4-5 weeks post food consumption yucky feel
GreenTealael replied to postsleeve120320's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You can water the shakes down to taste. As long and you drink the full amount it will satisfy your protein requirements. Bonus is it will also work towards satisfying your hydration requirements Good Luck ♥️ -
Post Op gastric sleeve with GERD
GreenTealael replied to 2feelgood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you're not in a rush and your Surgeon believes you can wait, why not try? But please remember GERD testing can tell you how severe your situation is and how quickly you need to act. Good Luck ♥️ -
If you were already approved, talk to your team to see if surgery can be postponed vs cancelled.

I barely felt anything from my lift too. All of the pain was from the TT which definitely still felt painful at 1 week post for me. I went home around day 8 or 9 and after 2 weeks I felt much better.

sleeve in 2010 now revision to RNY due to complications
GreenTealael replied to 5boys1girl forme's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I think it's very similar. I think the progression through the food staged are the same. You may experience dumping or not. You may initially loose weight from the surgery but you can maintain your weight if you are diligent (or gain weight if you are not careful) You may also have a different type of full sensation (or lack thereof) Recovery may be similar to your first WLS or slightly faster (especially if this will be done laparoscopically) since it will correct a problem. Good Luck ♥️ -

What does full feel like?
GreenTealael replied to RTL1234's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me : Original WLS of VSG - tightness or pressure in chest/esophagus/throat , inability to take "one more bite" and no interest in finishing. Conversion to RNY - Bored with eating followed by heaviness in the lower abdomen, slight tightness in throat after a while, disgusted at the thought of "one more bite". -

Eggplant parmesan (from local restaurant) with avocado and salad. I have no clue what the real cals are so I chose the highest for the category but I ate about 75%. -

No. I didn't have a history of clots so my Plastic Surgeon didn't order them. But I did receive them after both WLS because (I think) it was standard for the practice but only while in the hospital. I didn't have to inject myself.

Feeling sick, freezing and overheated at the same time... 8 days out from RNY
GreenTealael replied to BariatricBiter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely check in with your Team when anything changes, but no fever is usually a really good sign. Feeling flushed especially in waves is common and a lot of us feel cold all the time. Sometimes the temperature of what you're drinking can make a difference on whether or not it will sit well. If you started feeling sick after you moved to the next food stage, maybe it's an intolerance to something you recently added. Are you still taking anti-nausea meds, PPIs that were prescribed to you? Sorry you're in Regretville but hopefully you'll be out of it soon ♥️ -

Awwww, Let the surgeon give you 650s 😜, joking do whatever makes you happy. Since there's no fat to lipo that's even better for easier healing. Congratulations so excited for you ! -
