That doesn’t seem too crazy especially if you track the calories. Its roughly 224 cals, 16g protein, 16g fat and 7g carbs per 1/8th serving according to your recipe (possibly different, you could track it more accurately than me) If you are not already, try tracking calories. It can help when deciding what to add/omit from recipes or serving size to eat. Definitely run the recipe by your nutritionist (if you have one) to see what they think too. -
I remember the surgeon checking if all the required specialist signed off, asking I was still interested in having surgery (some people don’t move forward I guess), confirming the surgery type I want/was eligible for and asked if I had questions. This might be the last time you’ll see the surgeon before surgery day so definitely ask your questions. They sign off on all the paperwork, then it was sent to insurance for approval. Once insurance approved everything a nurse or scheduler will call you with potential surgery dates, information on a preop diet and lab requirements.

Have you tried any of the exercises for it? I used the floor exercises in second video and it really helped.

Thinking about Gastric Bypass

Same! Nothing was as bad as portrayed on TV (sadly My 600 lb life was my only reference on how it would go) and every benefit outweighed the negatives for me. -
Some Surprises I didn't expect with WLS
GreenTealael replied to Holodisplay's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
The stool softeners draw water into your stool. If I don’t drink enough water when taking it I can feel cramping also. Eventually your nutritionist or surgeon may suggest eating higher fiber foods and taking fiber supplements. It actually only worked for me when I started eating higher fiber vegetables/legumes (mostly raw carrots and spinach, beans/ peas) at almost every every meal. I was then able stop traditional laxatives. I now only take the stool softeners and incorporate fiber supplement when needed. Yes it can get better (I’m a few years out now ) but a lot of us will need some additional help long term. -

I don’t think so. That’s probably because I don’t always buy organic except soy products. This Purdue organic line is new to me but it’s being permanently added to my shopping list. I’m going to look out for the Wallace Farms items also! Thanks for the suggestion -

A large or a small gain? It maybe fluctuating things like hydration or you’re building muscle and the scale is reflecting that.

I found advice from a surgeons perspective: -
Yes! I needed WLS but plastics helped me feel a lot better about all of the physical changes. I only have clothed before and afters to share but there is a dramatic difference in harmony/balance of my shape. (Also not everyone will need/want plastics)

What Led To Revision

Not everyone or even the majority of people will need a revision so try not to worry about it right now. Good Luck! -

Tips for Dealing with a Rude Surgeon?
GreenTealael replied to Soon2bFit21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask for a witness or advocate to be in the room with you (if done in person) or screen record the appointment (let your surgeon know you are doing it for your records) and see if the tone changes -
Use insurance for BYPASS or pay out of pocket for SLEEVE

I would lean towards letting Insurance cover WLS and save your money for your new wardrobe or even plastic surgery down the line if you need it -
Severe Gerd/esophogeal dysmotility. Revision vs nissen or just hernia repair?
GreenTealael replied to starladustangel's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I had absolutely terrible constipation post revision too! I also had an enema then stayed on laxatives for a long time, under the supervision of my surgeon of course. (I was so afraid of constipation again that I think I stayed on them a lot longer than I should have. In fact I am finally lax free using a stool softener only when necessary. But I’m happy to report that the plumbing still works on it’s own 👍🏽) Speedy Recovery! -

Would you recommend surgery for young people? LONG, sorry
GreenTealael replied to victhemystic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I absolutely would have considered it earlier if I knew it was a real option for me (but I definitely wouldn’t have done it before I had children)
