Oh wow I just realized I don’t even eat soup with solids in it anymore. I am either eating stew or drinking broth! -
Have You Ever Noticed How Sometimes You Have to Eat MORE to Lose More?

Yes it happens to me sometimes also! -
Speed of eating - does it really matter when you know your limit??
GreenTealael replied to Spinoza's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Fast eating probably started for me from always being pressed for time. I still finish eating in 30 mins or much less TBH. I haven’t seen any negative outcomes from it. If I eat for longer I’m for certain eating more than I need to. Since my fullness also “catches up” later, I eat either portioned amounts or until I think I should stop. -

Should I Sleeve if I am NOT A BIG EATER?
GreenTealael replied to sleevenaive's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
These posts are from 11 years ago! We have access to do much more information now. Ask your surgeon about weight loss outcomes when taking medications that are known to cause weight gain. Also ask the prescribing physician if there are alternatives that you could switch to. And you could always start a thread asking other members to share their experiences with WLS while on meds that cause weight gain. Good Luck ❤️ -

I've regained the weight I lost
GreenTealael replied to ElseeGee181's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That’s unfortunate to hear 😩 Since you’ll have to find a new surgeon if you decide to have a revision, try to establish yourself with one that has a comprehensive team that you’re confident in. And don’t forget to ask about all of your options, not just surgical. -

Please don’t forget to contact your Surgeon/team. Don’t be embarrassed to ask for their help. Perhaps you can get a good look at how to optimize your diet with a nutritionist, habit building with a therapist and there are a lot of new weight loss medications recently approved that may help before revision surgery is needed. Good Luck ❤️ -

If I was a 39 BMI but 40 was required I would probably do the same thing, but at under 30 BMI, I would think about it a lot more. Good luck!

That is terrible. What substitutes are you comfortable making? I’ve noticed some missing items also ☹️ You could have said USSR if you really wanted to make her head spin 😂 -
Hey Long Termers - What are your macros now?
GreenTealael replied to Ylime's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
4+ yrs out: I guesstimate a lot. I rarely track my entire day, but I will spot check a meal to make sure I’m getting enough protein or limit my sugar intake. I haven’t looked at my overall calories in a long time. I’m certain if I start tracking now I will “behave” so it won’t show a realistic picture of my habits. I have hungry periods where I feel like I’m eating more than usual and then there’s times when I’m not as hungry. Since it’s been happening for so long I just roll with it. I’m definitely not eating 1000 cal or under. If I had to guess it’s around 1500-1600. That was my BMR according to a smart scale I used to have. One thing I know for sure is that I can’t eat anywhere close to the amount I did pre WLS. And my weight has been mostly stable for a few years. -
Is Breakfast The Most Important Meal of the Day?
GreenTealael replied to GradyCat's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I prefer to drink on the mornings rather than eat. I like this structure more because I know I’ll be well hydrated. -

Chocolate cravings!!!
GreenTealael replied to PCOS_Mama94's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just eat the chocolate when I crave it (also cycle related). I like Russell Stover sugar free chocolate. I also like higher percentage pure Cacao dark chocolate and I usually need much less of it. Let me know if you find a solution!
