Ketogenic diet. Basically very minimal carbs, all Proteins and healthy fats. Causes the body to go into ketosis (metabolism of fat as primary energy source - as opposed to glucose which is what carbs eventually turn into) alot of people have quicker weight loss this way. I for one just can't have a lot of carbs my body refuses to shed weight when I have them. Even healthy ones like Beans, oats...

I'm not as far out as you but every time I stall I have to eliminate carbs Can you try a KETO diet for a week?

Questions About Catheter
GreenTealael replied to Littel_Urchin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Mine was inserted when I was under general anaesthesia so I never saw or felt that part. I was however taken out on my second day in the hospital. The nurse deflated it VERY WELL prior to removal so I didn't hurt at all. But that JP drain... That's the one thing I wasn't ready for -
Why did I just discover them, and why are they sooo expensive?

IMHO once or twice a week is too sparse, it really should be every day or close to it. You need a ton more Fiber or what ever makes you regular. I can't stand conventional Fiber so I drink Chicory root (coffee substitute called caffix) and it clears me out completely within hours. Find what works and never be afraid to update your doctors about EVERY. LITTLE. THING. -

Am so tired of people who ask every ten minutes why they're not losing weight

The more notifications I get from this thread the closer I come to deleting my account The tone of the OP post while a mean girls type of funny, was by no means bullying or discriminatory, you gotta be into to it not to get offended, if offended report it. The. End. -
Very nice indeed

Bleeding during bowel movement

How many times has this happened? I was also sleeved in November and the same thing happened to me. My stool was too hard the times it happened and I figured out it was because I was eating raw almonds. Gave them up and no more blood. If it's prolonged please contact your physician -
Anyone on probiotics? If so what type, frequency, effects... I just purchased bacillus subtilis but never used it before
-
Thanks, I'm going to look that up
-
Probably but Im interested in the type sleevers are using and frequency. Do you take Probiotics? Which type & how often?
-
I'm late to the party, just starting at three month out and curious about how they affect sleevers when taken daily. Also wondering the type sleevers are using.

Anyone still struggling with body image pre or post surgery? Or did the surgery (or pre op phase ) boost your confidence exponentially? I'm curious to hear both sides Sent from my N817 using BariatricPal mobile app

Turns out it is the flu But I caught it early

I've had great energy up until today. I hot the wall hard, vitamin levels were great as of 2/2 with no change in regime Anyone else notice a drastic sudden decrease in energy? I'm 3 months post op, about 1200 cals on a good day, always hydrated, vitamins on time, protein usually at about 80 grams , Sleeping ok, bathroom habits normal. I feel like I need to literally crawl to bed

Thanks No Spoilers...

MFP does not have a category to log it under, but I literally walked for hours, endured squatting, lifting, bending, carrying, haggling, etc. Felt like HIIT to me...

If I lose a lot of weight during the 6-month pre-op, how do I know if I should still have surgery?
GreenTealael replied to Fitted T's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's a hard question that ONLY you can answer. I felt the same for about a month pre surgery and almost said never mind ill do it without surgery. I changed my mind because while I thought I was losing steadily, I was actually gaining . I was eating according to the nutritionists recommendations but no progress. I said screw it stop fighting a battle you can't win alone. Took a leap of faith and not one day goes by that I regret it. -
