  1. The problem is there is a pitfall everywhere you turn when it comes to food here, we can only educate ourselves and do the best we can. But soy is in almost everything and not the high quality stuff.
  2. It's best to stick with organic, thirdparty/independently verified non GMO soy in moderation

    I don't understand!!!

Also 1 lb of fat is roughly 3500 calories, Check this against your BMR and caloric intake for say two days. You need a deficit of 7000 calories to burn 2lbs of fat. The numbers that move around more often is due to water influx and retention due to various changes, increased blood volume, hydration level, even non excreted waste (constipation) can add fluctuations in weight. When the dust settles after a few weeks (to account for possible stalls) and you no longer weight in range of a specific point, take it as a true loss, (or gain) Don't let the scale have so much control
  4. I would caution you to do a ton of research before converting especially when it comes to soy.
  5. It takes time and considerable effort but little by little substitute out your animal protein sources for plant protein sources (it will cost you calorically) in the cleanest most sustainable way possible with the guidance of your team. Safe Journey!

    What to eat before surgery

Im not sure if the wording is off or the information but, usually everyone is required to do some sort of liquid fast prior to surgery whether it's 48 -24hr liquids only, 24-12 hrs clear liquids only then 12-6 hrs nothing to clear the digestive system completely. Some variation on this theme, double check with your team.
  7. Short fast day to get back into a proper rhythm. Non fasting hrs 12-7pm. I broke my true fast last night around 8 something and stopped eating by 10pm. This fast eliminated the intense girl hunger of 2 days ago where I was eating every green leaf and nut possible. There was water, tea (smooth move before true fast only, but wanted to show the brand), coffee (I love the cup), eggs (leftovers & new), multitude of vegetables, nuts and even a chocolate kind bar because I'm a girl 💅 Let's call it an even 1200 because I'm too lazy for MFP tonight lol Oh, there was a gym session today! I walked 1.6 miles to the gym (up a hills and through park land) weight trained for a bit, walked home 1.3 miles the easy way. Going to bed early to work on proper sleep patterns.

    Food Before and After Photos

Meal prep again! Frittata? Omelette? IDK what to call it, it is my Mother's recipe without potatoes. Mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, spinach, eggs, spices Easy.
  9. Not a revision patient but stopped by and answered because this sends up red flags. Why would this office schedule 5 dissatified patients at the same time to be in the same room discussing the same thing within earshot of new patients? Sloppy. Either it's not a fluke they have a lot of issues or they need a significantly better office manager. Either way, never a *good* thing IMHO I would totally get a second and third opinion, diligently research the surgeon you chose.
  10. I but it's just for Starbucks coffee, no clue what others contain...

    Not going to be Popular...

I forgot about that! There's got to be some non carbonated kombucha out there
  15. So I almost exclusively drink Starbucks blonde (veranda not willow) and it's ~180mg caffeine for 8oz - that's a lot more caffeine per cup. https://www.starbucks.com/menu/drinks/brewed-coffee/veranda-blend-#size=11019773

    Not going to be Popular...

I'm going to try to get more sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha and probiotics in to balance it out ...

    Not going to be Popular...

Sigh... Can'tavoid it all, I posted this so we in the WLS community can be mindful and vigilant because almost ALL of our products are artificially sweetened. Some have natural sugar substitute but those are not as widespread. I'm just going to use bare minimum like premier shakes but not flavored syrups 😖 , etc. Just the stuff I can't get around...
  18. I use Green foods ceremonial matcha (it was locally available and I liked the taste) It has 25mg of naturally occurring tea caffeine (theine) per 2 tsps. So you can add as much water or milk you want and dilute it if to your need. I'm not sure about appetite suppression, I never noticed a difference but my appetite was never crazy. Except that time of the month, Sorry. I always loved green tea (medicinal also) and used it for the detoxification and cellular protection properties. I have noticed that the more green tea I drank in the past the weight would slowly & steadily drop without doing anything else , and stay off (it was how I lost 30lbs prior to wls but at about 10lbs per year without trying) Research shows EGCG in green tea stimules metabolism. I'm sure there's more to it all such as the L-theanine that helps reduce stress. I also like the fact that is plant based, holistic and something I can drink
  19. Posting more golden green milk, made with almond milk, water, matcha, tumeric and stevia Some IF plans say unsweetened almond milk and stevia are fine , that's what I go with

Everything We Know about Obesity Is Wrong!

Didn't even have to read it and I already knew what it was about... But people call me a conspiracy theorist when I say it.
  21. I don't normally weigh or measure so I'm going to try to remember
  22. Don't forget the long game... That's really what matters
