    I have the sleeve and did not want the bypass. But I also knew myself well enough to decifer how much I needed to lose, other medical issues that would interfere, if had food issues that would hinder my progress, reflux/GERD, if I'm willing to have a revision in the future for any reason, etc. I think these are important considerations. I chose the best surgery for me

    Just tried on a dress that was sized as a med (8/10) and it fit... IDK how but I'll take this win

No pics but Food for the day: chicken tenders, ryvita crispbread, kind bar, almond and peanut butter, lentil and pea cheese puffs, no fresh vegetables (😢) but of course an endless supply of water, tea and even some coffee I had to eat on the go and these were my only options I didn't even feel like eating this... I think I'm sick thanks to the 5 million people in NYC who all seemed to be sniffling le sigh

    VSG is just one weapon in your armory. You may need several to help you in this battle as VSG cannot always be guaranteed to curb eating, change taste preferences and definitely not modify behaviors that are rooted in other causes. Reach out to your team and ask if there are support groups you can attend even prior to surgery to see what others are doing to win the war.

    Yes no eating/drinking: 30 min before each alternate session 30 min duration Max for eating sessions 30 mins after each alternate session This is for anything that is not a pure liquid/liquids as a solid Otherwise you can have those without breaks (water, protein shake, broth, popsicle, jello, milk, tea, etc.) Touch base with your team for additional clarity

  15. No way! Lol sounds like my yogurt but I use frozen Blueberries, french vanilla syrup non fat Greek yogurt, raisins, peanuts, chia and hempseed .

  17. I've noticed that people assume all kinds of things about me now. I've mentioned needing to walk to a place because I have walked long distance in a few days, and people assume it's specifically for lossing more weight. I have to explain the benefits of walking beyond weight loss for anyone to be satisfied with my reasons. So disturbing. People constantly tell me now that I don't need to lose more weight. Many don't know I had WLS and must be thinking I'm trying really hard. I'm not. I think people assume I have a new found eating disorder. Not present. Debatable but i'm not specifically actively trying for more weight loss (fat loss, muscle growth yes), I'm just letting my body find it's range. I comfortable where I am, I can stay here or go lower ,my body will pick but I'm not making an effort to stop lossing either. I think people are obsessed with my weight loss and think I am also. I'm not. It's so weird, it's all anyone around me wants to talk about. What assumptions have you found/do you believe are being made about you? Are they spot on or way off?

  22. Ok current weight 161.4 went passed my doctor's office and decided to pop in for a weight since the next time would be October. Not surprised I had tons of salty foods and it will be that time of the month soon. But considering that I had cheesecake and cookies and whatever else I wanted all labor day weekend during non fasting hours, albeit in small amounts, not bad...
