  7. Scales are stupid and can't be trusted (also don't be alarmed if it bounces up in a few days even though you are perfect on plan. I'm beginning to notice that energy conversion and weight reflecting it takes some time to show up... I should look into it)

    Can you drink pop?

I think the bigger question is Soda vs Pop... Just joking, ask your team. You'll get alot of answers here on either end of the spectrum but your team will have statistics on whether or not there is a correlative aspect to drinking it and regain in their specific practice.

    Is my experience atypical?

Present ✋ I have a low tolerance for surgical pain (and had no desire to do a triathlon 14 mins out of the OR lol) but pain tolerance is super subjective.

    Back pain

It could be muscle strain (and spasms) or sciatic nerve irritation. Laying in a prone position or any of the movements made to adjust you during surgery could have caused it. However, anecdotally, I noticed that the more weight I lost the less compression of my spine and it caused back pain for me. I had to workout (stretch and strength training) to target specific muscle groups to feel better and work on proper posture... Contact your team if it gets severely worse
  20. I tried that one and a few others, I think the scale I used runs on the YMCA modified body fat calculator (this one is Naval, there are about 4 additional calculator types?) They all give a range of answers... Sometimes I'm obese, overweight and healthy. Don't know which one should matter the most... Of course I want to pick it overweight because it matches my BMI but IDK... What system is everyone else using?

Feeling MISERABLE a little over 10 wks out

Mio + electrolytes, bone broth, the Crystal light w/electrolytes and even Pedialyte popsicles should help with restoring balance BUT You need water, your body can't function without it, you need A LOT and EVERYDAY. Consuming above requirements is easiest thing that you can do for your recovery and continued success Once that's resolved, fiber will keep you regular, vitamins and mineral supplements will boost your energy levels, protein supplements and eventually real food will give you lasting energy through nutrients. Contact your team and tell them you are struggling, they may have alot more tips.

    New Here

Unless already done these, you'll usually need to be cleared by a few more specialists including Cardio, Gastro and even a sleep study. Then the surgeons office will submit all the information to the insurance company and request approval/authorization for payment. Depending on how quickly you get through all of the pre-op testing (with no complications that need to be resolved first) , insurance approval and the schedule of the surgeon will usually the determine how fast you can have surgery. Your situation may be different so for an accurate answer ask if there is anything else you need to do Safe journey
