  1. Thank you!!! And your stylist (if you use one) can be very gentle, maybe two directional tightening instead of four, etc.

    How to eat better...

I'm just happy to see more action in the vegetarian section!!! I love hearing about the proper ways to eat different foods, to maximize their nutritional intake. Very interesting topic!

    Being sick after RNY?

You may not need to if you are getting enough of the other foods and fiber...

    Being sick after RNY?

I'm a VSGer but Totally invest in pre/probiotics early on. I chose gummies - they were just easier. I think it did help a lot when I look back to when I was on Antibiotics- no yeast infections no crazy digestive issues creaping up (Sometimes i ate plain Greek yogurt too, lots of beans- food for the microbes)
  7. I ate a piece of regular chocolate that was offered to me. Also I'm all about inner beauty and development of character/personality. So as soon as someone likes my appearance I use the sorting hat and they are (mentally) sent to Slytherin...But I adorn myself to be appreciated... Sigh ...
  8. Mocktails... Unsweetened iced tea will look like a Manhattan in the right glass, water with a touch of lemon juice and cherry or olive garnish will look like a Martini in the right glass, water layered with a touch of orange juice and cranberry juice with sugar substitute on the rim will look like a tequila sunrise in the right glass... see where I'm heading? Get to really know the bartenders, tip your servers! (Even if not customary)

  12. My team considers plastics when you stop losing, usually after your 1 yr follow up with surgeon you ask about it. Why did you cancel your follow up? Do you think didn't lose enough? There are other things to discuss at the follow up like blood work, which is more critical than goal weight...

    Can I color my hair?

You could color your hair and maybe skate by the hairloss phase unaffected, but if hairloss is a concern for you, you may want to ask about the dye (severity of damage to your hair) to anticipate what you are risking

    Sleeve vs bypass

IMHO If I were you and not really confident (sorry but that line sounds you're already planning for failure) I would go with the bypass, and just forget about a future surgery possibility. Take care of it all now in one shot.

  17. Mine are 20 yrs old so I was definitely worried about losing them so I started doing a ton of research and found research about Telogen Effluvium and LLysine so I started supplementing with that very early on. I've only had very very very minor thinning but no losses. I also went super low manipulation for about 8 months.
