Accutane (isotretinoin) after RNY?
GreenTealael replied to maggie354's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I tried Isotretinoin prior to WLS and can only say IMHO it is not worth the risks. I found the topical retinoid much more effective. Safe Journey! -

Honestly I've never been on a diet before (besides vegan lifestyle) so I'm curious to see how it all plays out. I get hungry and realized that I could just have something to drink instead of eating. How is everyone else dealing wit hunger? -
4 week post-op weight loss meltdown

Hi, some of us will lose slower than others. This is still ok. It all adds up in the end. You have the next year and a half to work on actively getting to a goal , then going further or maintaining. Try to be patient and kind to yourself. -

I'm a 24 year old Mom of 3(4,3&2 Y/O). Been happily married for 6 years next month. I have a skill and love for Baking and I know I'm a strong woman. I've overcome Crazy Health things for someone my age (Like a Massive Stroke) And I want my kids to know that You can overcome anything. One day I'd love to be able to go back to school to be a L&D RN. I'm an Extrovert Turned Introvert yet I still have a way of Making friends with even the most self proclaimed "socially Awkward" people. I read CONSTANTLY, and Love pretty much any Genre. I'm bad about picking out flaws in movies that I watch yet amazing at Judging outcomes and endings. I'm also terrible with being "Short And to the Point". Sorry. Lol. Also, I have a Mini backyard farm and 99% of what I eat and Feed my family, We grow or raise. (Avacados take wayyy too long.)[emoji23] Friends now... -

Not a Vet but Some of us can eat a lot more than others, but rarely 6-8oz of pure dense proteins (plainly cooked chicken, fish, beef & tofu) You may be able eat more because your foods are sliders Try going right back to basics . Test yourself by eating only clean cooked dense proteins for one meal and see what your intake is really like before restriction hits. You'll be able to gauge your real hunger vs carb influenced hunger better. Then play around with adding sliders in after. Also salads are great too because they have very little caloric impact when done cleanly. Safe Journey! -

What's your current weight and BMI? Can you get around easier? Any of your previous medical problems resolved like diabetes? Do you or your team have a plan for resolution in place? Is there anything else about life enjoyable? Anything you are grateful for? Those are silver linings to look at even on the stormiest days. Try to remain positive & Safe Journey!

Hi! I would love to simply say your husband is just ... XYZ, but he's in the trenches with you everyday and can see things we can't. You married and bonded a life with him in sickness and health. (Tell him that this is for the health part and he must be tired of the sickness because you certainly are) Also you know him best so you know his true intentions. If he loves you and this concern is coming from a place of love, take it under advisement, remember it and succeed despite his doubt. This is your epic, remain vigilant. Try to work on everything possible prior to surgery including your marriage, and set up sustainable goals that you will hold yourself accountable to. Safe Journey!
