Reverse peer pressure. I fully intend to make everyone around me better, by proximity. I actively work to get people to try new alternatives, but not in a pushy condescending way. I just figured why not treat other like I treat myself. I like the best, I won't buy myself VOSS water and get you a Dasani, IJS. Thoughts? -

I agree with the other @2shea and @Orchids&Dragons It could be something very specific to you, best to see a physical therapist, exercise physiologist, etc. to know for certain. I had to see a physical therapist for muscle and Facsia issues (unrelated to surgery, don't panic) on top of routinely stopping and continuing muscle training. Itsy possible to restore (even if slowlng) whatever has been lost. Takes time and patience. Safe Journey 🎈

Try using beautiful cups! Wine glasses, ornate mugs, shot glasses, stemmed flutes, Moscow mules, etc. (the difference aesthetically pleasing cups can make on drinking habits is astounding, no small wonder the market for glitzy travel mugs & water bottles has risen) Join in the activities merge your new tradition of a healthier lifestyle with old traditions of celebrating, try not isolating yourself and creating problems that don't exist, show everyone that you choose this life and love it. You know what, I like the idea of randomized lies about all the changes. Especially after I have plastics done. Infact, I'm going to try it next time someone asks anything appearance related. -

Sometimes it's reflux. Sometimes it's mental cravings. Sometimes it's hunger. Sorry. But for the new people who think they are alone. You're not.

Depressed, Scared, and Everything In Between
GreenTealael replied to AutumnG's topic in Rants & Raves
Hi, Major surgery and lifestyle changes will take some time to adjust to. Try and be patient with yourself. Rest, heal & become confident in the journey. Vitamins are not one size fits all. Just because a ton of people complain they have trouble doesn't mean you automatically will also. It just mean you can use it like a consumer report. But you still plan to consume. Food becomes a chore for a while but this improves over time. Don't give up, especially not right out the gate. I was tired for ages after surgery. It forced me to slow down and evaluate value of my time and energy. Also where I chose to place it. Clarifying. Continue to research but there is a fine line between helpful and harmful when reading tons of personal recounting of events. You can begin to absorb the trama. Practice self-care and disengage if you feel that happening. Hair loss post below Safe Journey 🎈 -

When I began I knew it was right for me for medical reasons. I started the process but went on an extended vacation. While there I still I tried to lose weight on my own and honestly for the first time. I actively gained almost 5 lbs in 2months. I said screw it, set the rest of my appointments upon my return within a 2 week period and rushed it along. I'm guessing you're taller than me, nearly everyone is, so our starting BMI is not the same or age but surgery day weight is/maybe similar. It was a great choice for me and I stand behind it.

Absolutely. Do whatever you want. People ask me the same (no one knows about my surgery) and I'm not planning on more loss but so what if I was? You can't catch a break in the court of public opinion... -

Whole Foods brand specifically? Usually your team will give you vitamin guidelines but the very best ones will be the ones you can tolerate and will take regularly. I suggest buying trail/travel size first and everything post op from places with great return policies always. Safe Journey 🎈

Seraquel and gastric sleeve
GreenTealael replied to Rachel Mc's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You will need to speak/work with your prescriber and bariatric team about this. (You may be removed from the med prior to surgery and for a little while after then resume regularly provided it's not time released or switched to a non time released formula) Since you have been on this med already and are not starting fresh It *may* be as simple as you lose what you lose (not sure if it would be more or less, too variant to tell/bariatric team will have better answers based on experience) Not surprisingly, a lot of people are on meds that also affect weight gain/loss so teams are aware of these things being a factor. Safe Journey 🎈 -
It's entirely individual but I caution against trying something the first time away from home. Enjoy the outing!
