Hi Sophie11 There can be many factors to why you are losing slowly, PCOS which causes insulin resistance, bipolar to which meds can slow down loss, but mostly this thing you should look at is your current diet and lifestyle which we have no idea about. That being said, try tracking everything you consume with an app like MyfitnessPal, meeting hydration and protein goals while staying under carb limits, and add fiber. Check in with your team and get some answers about where they expected you to be. Losing slowly is annoying but it all adds up in the end. Safe Journey 🎈.

Worthy of a reprise! CONGRATS ❤

Can you try a clean out or major purge of your pantry/kitchen/refrigerator and commit to never replacing the foods that are causing issues? Then finding alternatives you like and being careful about what you eat. That shift will cause some kgs to drop right away. It's basically the preop lifestyle change you start when you were excited about surgery in the first place. Let us know how everything goes ❤

Necroposters My eldest sister is on a diet, clinically run by Columbia hospital- destined to fail but whatever, and she is miserable. She seems clueless on what to do or eat, and is hangry all of the time. So I'm unsure if the program is providing guidance or if it's just her... She wants every fast food option know to man and I think it's because of the advertising on the programs she watches. Almost all of the commercials are food related. Not even kidding. I don't watch TV, so I didn't realize it was this way. Anyone else notice this too? -

GERD, EGD results, and Sleeve vs. Bypass?
GreenTealael replied to carolinafirefly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, a lot of surgeon will not perform the sleeve on band revisions because of erosion, and other issues. The sleeve is not right for everyone, or forever. Luck of the draw I suppose. Get well soon! -
GERD, EGD results, and Sleeve vs. Bypass?

Best thing about the zombie apocalypse and being marooned on Mars is you'll likely run out of food before vitamins... Silver linings You'll do great, eventually the villi (sp) grow back in the intestines and malabsorption risks decrease the further out you get. The body is wonderful and resilient (like it's owner) You're going to be amazed by what a difference a year will make, promise. -
Thanks!!!
