You may want to consider starting to change some of your habits as soon as you can, like reducing/eliminating alcohol, sugar, caffiene, nicotine or anything prohibited in the prep for surgery so you are ready, willing and able to transition. Studies show it takes an average of 66 days to build new habits, and it's often a bell curve. Get feedback from the Team you choose and follow their instructions. Bowel Obstructions and Chronic Constipation
GreenTealael replied to Jerrilyn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you drink 1/4 to 1/3 the serving evening before it will produce a bowel movement the next morning. You don't have to drink a lot, just a little to stay regular. Experiment with the amounts. Pure Senna tea is also a little less harsh in it's effects I find, compared to Smooth Move, but your results may vary. -

Sleeve post op advised no supplements needed

Teams, even members within Teams, will have various views on this. My Team had differing views about when to start but the rationale was the same. Delay a bit until necessary. Regular lab work and self assessment usually will catch early signs of deficiencies. Some vitamins are water soluble so when the upper limit it reached you usually excrete the excess. The fat soluble ones are more dangerous. They literally stick around. No need to keep adding in vitamins you have proper levels of wasting $$$ or risk overdose/toxicity if preventable. CONGRATS 🎉 -

Hi Mystery! It's liberating. Who cares anymore if anything is left behind.. take it with you, give it to friends, less fortunate or bin it. If you are super duper worried, order less like appetizers. We are removing the focus from food. It's just a part of life now. Stick around, fill out your profile and join the party! Safe Journey 🎈 -
