    Should I or shouldn’t I get Lap-Band

I am also surprised you were able to find a surgeon who will place one without strongly arguing against it. My surgeon only revises from lapband to other surgeries.
  5. Perhaps the wrong post was quoted ? but good information for anyone who may need it !

    Recovery

I also had a drain. I had to baby it. I emptied, measured cleaned and logged its contents. It was work. But I believe I'm healthier for it. I had low energy for quite some time after surgery but i rolled with it instead of fighting against it. I didn't need stress adding complications to the pot so i tried to remain super chill about everything. It was major surgery after all and i was honesty happy to be alive. My incisions took a while to heal and were very itchy so i cleaned *around* the incisions with alcohol before putting the hydrocortisone cream *near* the incisions. It helped alot. One week down many more to go !

    Lentils are killing me!

Ghee or butter I believe helps when cooking legumes to aid in the prevention of gas. Oldwives tale... And an antigas med or something like beeno can help too. Have you asked the your NUT about gassy foods and what you can take?

    ❀ 16 Months Post Op ❀

It is temporaryπŸŽ‡ it was for me, I was in very substantial pain for 2 solid weeks post op. Then the pain disappeared like nothing. I felt completely normal again like i never had surgery at 2-3 months post op. That being said never hesitate to bug your team if you feel worse instead of better with each passing day. Advocate for what you need. Take it easy, heal, be kind and patient with yourself & you will do great πŸ‘‘

  23. Thank you sooooooo much for starting this! We need sage advice from VETS. When i joined the site and really started becoming active there was a spreading sense of regain fear that i almost fell victim to as well. Im glad i checked in with my team about the realistic stats instead of just rolling with the doomsday momentum. Perspective can change your world.

    Tried [emoji42][emoji42][emoji42]

I wasn't working out at your stage either... Honestly no energy or desire for it. Heal up, do what you can, take your vitamins, drink water, focus mostly on your diet and wait for the energy to return. It will come back as long as you take care of yourself.

    Random

Absolutely! I couldn't finish yogurt yesterday lol what a pity πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Im also super mindful not to eat over 30mins like my initial rules state because the stomach does empty and you can just keep refilling it lol then surgery is pointless if you consume excess cals The futher out the more diet manipulation/tightening I begin to employ Congrats everyone on your skinny little stomachs lol
