It came down to a structure/spiraled sleeve, GERD, hernia and to a lesser extent gastritis, No regain No way to fix it all without conversion, Ive been telling my story here:

GERD is a real consideration to take into account when thinking about which type of WLS to choose. However, the fact that you have diabetes is also very important to your decision. Work with your team, ask them very specific questions about your case and what their recommendations are and why. Good Luck💜 -

July 2019 Surgery Siblings Post-Op

4 days post op conversion from VSG to RNY. Minimal pain but tons of swelling. I was up and walking within hours of surgery. Hospital stay was 2 nights. Feeling pretty good. Drinking well, no hunger again. No complaints. -

I don't like any of the flavors straight except cookies and cream ( but i never drink it straight anyway 😞) No clue how much I'm able to get down in a sitting because im simply always drinking to meet my quota. Im not measuring just completing items. So far I've tried waters, popsicles once, bai, broth twice, PP shakes and teas. Nothing else. Also I'm even colder than before patiently waiting for this heat wave 😂 -

So far yes, no one can hear my stomach churning & I don't feel it either, but I am also not eating. I will wait a few months to give my final views on it to be certain. -

Stage 1 diet ( post op) : Doing the thing like I'm supposed to... Still absolutely no hunger. Even while cooking for others. Haven't even bothered with jello cups or popsicles yet. Still just fluids. -

You literally do have to drink all the time, there's no way around it. Keep a drink in your hand whenever possible as a reminder. Good luck!
