8 days Post Op - Unable to Drink Water and my experience so far.
GreenTealael replied to Sinema's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Maybe drink all of the sugar free cal free mostly clear drinks you can if water is not working, yet. Since they have a track record of not responding, call/text/email/messenger pigeon/whatever means of communication to get clear instructions and push back against the its fine answer. Good Luck 💜 -

❤My Revision Story❤
GreenTealael replied to GreenTealael's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ 🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒🕒 One month SURGIVERSARY (31 days since surgery) Doing well no complaints/complications. I have tried to advance my diet to some of the firm proteins recommended but my body isnt ready (vomiting& foamies) I had the same problem with VSG so I'll be patient and wait to see what the future holds. Still hovering around 148-150 (haven't weighed in a while, away from home) I haven't heard the plumbing (gurgling from stricture/torsion/reflux) since surgery so I think it's fully resolved! Super satisfied by my Surgeon's skill and patience in removal of scar tissue and clips during the revision. I think it helped expedite my recovery. ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔ 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊 -

GreenTealael replied to AchieveGoals's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
please please please please please please NEVER compare yourself to strangers on the internet. Your weightloss will be unique to you alone. Follow your plan. But also listen to your practitioners. IMHO expecting low and surpassing your goal can be a wonderful feeling but expecting too much and falling short may be devastating. Good Luck 💜 -
Things I used to do almost obsessively prior to surgery that don't do anymore: Watch My 600 lbs life while eating dinner (seems sad and voyeuristic now), eat popcorn at the movies (want to/scared to/won't) Pinterest SciFi themes, research building a tiny home , drink seltzer Water. What about you?

Totally tell the person who handles billing and scheduling so they can try to speed it along. You sound ready 🏆 -
Hitting a Plato vegetarian
GreenTealael replied to mmartinez213's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Plateaus can happen for no/many reasons even sometimes when your body is pausing to adjust. But if it has been very long (6+ months) w/o weightloss you may have reached maintenance (I know it was quite hard for me to maintain strict vegetarianism while in the losing phase. I found mostly grain free ovo lacto pescaterian the best path for me with flexing in solid animal protein occasionally) To try and kickstart weightloss again perhaps you could take a look at your diet and weed out any problem foods (highly processed, high sodium, wheat fillers) Easy vegetarian foods are usually high calorie/carb. To avoid This you may need to use pure vegetarian protein sources (tofu, eggs) but reduce precooked packaged items as well as limit grains & legumes (if you eat them) Good Luck 💜 -

This thread is completely fun and addictive!!! (I think because it has nothing to do with food and I really appreciate the escape into the fantasy) BUT y'all are all terrible influences on this minimalist. L☺L All of a sudden I just want to shop for new clothes even thought I still have things a haven't worn yet. Can i just borrow some stuff... Please? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Losing weight Post Op ........
GreenTealael replied to Lovin2lose's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Hi Do you know what % of excess weight lost category you actually fall into ? (20 30, 40, etc) It's a bell curve unfortunately and there are always going to be those at each end of the spectrum. IMHO try to have moderate expectations. Anything ovet or under you expection are bonus/no big deal. It may fall somewhere in between regular preop & later post op speed (theres no way to know for certain how your body will react) but it will be work. I'm not sure what changed from the time you were maintaining to regaining but perhaps look there first for clues (especially food, drink and habit clues) A lot of people further out have lost regain by diligently working their original plans again (eating clean, accounting calories, exercise, etc.) You can do it! Also check with your original Surgeom/Team because they may have more options to help you out. Good Luck! -

Can you take your approved pain meds? Drink tea? Gargle with salt water? Etc... If you still dont feel well and temp is up your surgeon should be notified either way. -
Another Stall? Or is this it?
GreenTealael replied to cutiepie34's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Its very very possible to stay the same weight for a few weeks. If your diet is still on point, its likely just a stall. -

I would love that as well. I cook pretty much every night. When I was on WW I made some amazingly healthy & delicious meals. I used skinnytaste, Emily bites and a few others. Feel free to share with us too! -
