I would immediately re-establish care with your Bariatric doctor and voice your concerns with vigor. Tell them you need more than just a nutritionist visit, you would like testing to check on your anatomy. To help with the dumping immediately try to really watch the sugar (and fat) content per serving in the foods/drinks you consume. Keep it as low as possible like your post op directions (I think it was 5 grams or less in my instructions) Good Luck!

Absolutely! The point is now there are more choices for the wider population. Many of the patients that qualified for WLS will never pursue it. They are no longer left without an effective option.

However, I vividly remember immediately post op. The constant monitoring of every aspect of life to make sure I got it all right. Not going to lie, I don’t miss that- it could be exhausting at times (but ultimately worth it!). I have relaxed into a routine that works really well for me and nothing feels restrictive. I’m very happy I chose this path.❤️

Additionally with the anticipated revenue in mind, this can catapult further research and innovation. Hopefully insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, obesity and their related comorbidities can be cured in our lifetime.

I would say it’s a combination of fluid retention from the Ringer’s Lactate or Saline if you received an I.V, any meds you were given and the stress from illness itself. I know it’s easier said than done but try to hold off weighing yourself for a while. 10 weeks post op is still fairly early on and you have many more months of progress to look forward to. My food choices have been repetitive and too boring to photograph but this is something new: Kombucha and seltzer water. I dipped my toe back into carbonation and I’m enjoying the change. (Also Naan w/ havarti cheese, hummus and carrots.)
