Confession time: I took my teens to a trampoline park recently and overheard them whispering that I dress young. They have never really cared what I looked liked until recently with the last 10ish lbs lost when people mistaken me for their peer not Mum. This has been bothering me ever since. Really bothering me. I didn't think i was doing it on purpose. I thought i was a mere victim of my height and new size (no decent mature clothes in the juniors section for moms 😬) but now that you have put these words to paper (digitally) I can't help but wonder if subconsciously im trying to return to Neverland... I need to think 😔 I think you did a great job and people can take what they need to from your post. Thanks for sharing with us 💙

IMHO hands down, wait. You will need to focus really hard on yourself for a bit during recovery and teaching does not usually lend itself to selfcare. Also you will not know what your energy level will be or bathroom & eating habits will be like until after surgery. It will be a learning curve. I know its hard to be patient, but you really might want to think about it a lot more in terms of what your job will demand of you during your recovery period (test prep, testings, evaluation, conferences, etc...) And of you can handle it. Good Luck 💙

Ok I can usually find my size these days med is common enough and I'll even take a large or small depending on cut BUT it seems like Targét has way more plus sized clothes/bigger fitting clothes than before. Normally I would say finally but where the world was this vanity sizing 4 yrs ago when I was buying very costly clothing elswhere? Hmm? Whatever. A dress I really wanted but couldn't get because the sizes were off (I choose to believe its not my body 😂) Its too loose & drappy for its size. What's going on in fashion/pattern design these days??? I'm about to have an entire bespoke wardobe if this continues. This is why I can't shop online...

Great advice from all Also Try to only eat by measurements (for your current stage) not by the feeling of fullness or restriction. Unfortunately not everyone will experience this or know what this will feel like for them initially. Good Luck 💙

Hi, It's not easy. Here's a few tips I've heard from my in person support meetings: Speak with your Team for a referral to a professional who can help/guide you (therapist, counselor, etc) Join /return to in-person support groups Journal as a written reminder/promise Have a heart to heart with yourself often (sounds silly now but works amazingly - look yourself in the mirror & list out loud why you wanted surgery, why you should be compliant and what your plans are when cravings happen) Good Luck 💙
