Ahhh ! Now that seems like a more manageable expectation A lot of people fall on many sides of the spectrum of healing so its really hard to accurately compare your journey to others. (I was in terrible pain for 2 straight weeks post my initial VSG surgery and virtually no pain post RNY conversion) But only you know your body, so don't hesitate to tell your team if you believe the pain is excessive.

Woah up and exercising a week out of major surgery? That's...rare. Pain is normal. A lot of internal work is done with these surgeries but because most are done laproscopically we can sometimes forget. Try to continue with your pain management protocol. Safe and happy healing 💚

Sorry for the rough news but honestly the greater fear may be Cancer... Returning GERD or the sudden onset of GERD is a known risk of VSG. This revision surgery is about preventing a malicious disease from developing and improving your quality of life. Good Luck 💚 -

Same! the therapist even instructed me that they were not allowed to touch the abdomen directly because the surgeon did not want to shift those tissues around. -
