I was told by my surgeon (as we discussed my conversion to RNY) that from his experience roughly 1/3 of patient develop GERD after VSG even without prior indications, 1/3 see an improvement of preexisting GERD after VSG & 1/3 remain unchanged (no development or improvement of GERD) Ask your Surgeon his stats on the subject

Woah, I just realized it's almost a year since my conversion to RNY 😳

Trader Joe's brand turkey burger (each burger: 180 cals 22g protein) on Ole's Extreme Wellness tortilla w/ avocado, spring mix, onions & ketchup

I found 3 brands with pretty much the same stats (La Banderita's Carb counter, Ole's Extreme Wellness - found at Wal-Mart & Trader Joe's house version) they are all good! I can tell that they are not traditional wheat only tortillas but beyond that I can't detect any weird tastes or textures. Especially when heated, toasted or further cooked (I never ate cold tortillas anyway) The really great part is the fiber count: 1 tortilla is 1/3 (30 something percent) of the recommended intake. If you try one let me know what you think!

Floradix is liquid and mostly food sourced. Right after surgery your can become depleted of iron very quickly especially if you already had borderline low iron. It maybe an expense that you think you cannot afford but its quickly & highly absorbed. Low iron makes even breathing a task. Without proper oxygenation of the blood wound healing can be delayed. (I'm sure you know all of this) Another option is to have hematologist give iron infusions, which work infinitely faster than any thing else. Speedy recovery!

Girlfriend IMHO Go with a surgeon who has flawlessly performed hundreds of DS (not none) Otherwise both RNY & VSG are comparable UNLESS you already have heartburn/GERD (go with RNY in that case) Good Luck ❤
