I found 3 brands with pretty much the same stats (La Banderita's Carb counter, Ole's Extreme Wellness - found at Wal-Mart & Trader Joe's house version) they are all good! I can tell that they are not traditional wheat only tortillas but beyond that I can't detect any weird tastes or textures. Especially when heated, toasted or further cooked (I never ate cold tortillas anyway) The really great part is the fiber count: 1 tortilla is 1/3 (30 something percent) of the recommended intake. If you try one let me know what you think!

Floradix is liquid and mostly food sourced. Right after surgery your can become depleted of iron very quickly especially if you already had borderline low iron. It maybe an expense that you think you cannot afford but its quickly & highly absorbed. Low iron makes even breathing a task. Without proper oxygenation of the blood wound healing can be delayed. (I'm sure you know all of this) Another option is to have hematologist give iron infusions, which work infinitely faster than any thing else. Speedy recovery!

Ask your primary (if you have one) if they ate willing to prescribe either narcotics or tramadol and/or toradol (Ketorolac) for your pain management for surgery. Because of pain med abuse (and the newly labeled) opioid crisis, doctor's are minimizing what narcotics they give out and why. Good Luck ❤

Ask your surgeon if its ok to start stool softeners Try GNC lean shakes or Fairlife high protein shakes. I've found these brands far more palatable than Premier. If you prefer savory over sweet, lots of brands make protein soups. Check online and in the BariatricPal store. Happy Healing ❤

Not a "Switcher" but these are pretty common questions so : + High frequency bowel movements seem to be common for this surgery + High protein diets tend to produce hardened stools/constipation + Higher water intake/fiber supplements/stool softeners daily helps + Embrace/ Silagen /Cicatape/ Metipac/ etc medical silicone tape will help with the scars + Notify your team immediately if you experience an sudden rapid or slowing heartbeat that persists, worsening pain in legs or abdomen, trouble breathing, see blood (bright red) in your stool that persists, have a high fever, extremely lethargic, etc. Happy Healing ❤
