  1. Just wanted to share my most recent before/current
HW was 301lbs in July 2016, though it could have been a little more since I didn't weigh regularly.
    SW: 271 (12/30/16)
    CW: 185
    GW: 175, then reassess.
The left picture was October 2016 at about 275 lbs while working my pre-op diet. The right was Monday at 185 lbs.

  2. Here is my before pics and a few afters. The second photo was taken on Sept. 9 and I was about 225 lbs. The first photo was Exactly 7 months to the day of surgery (new years eve) and I have lost 109 lbs total so far and made it into the Onederland. The journey remains challenging but every day is a new day to do things the right way and I take it one day at a time. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have a new lease and outlook on life! onCollage%202018-01-05%2013_13_16.jpg Collage%202018-01-07%2022_32_48.jpg

  3. Nop... Creekimp13, my doctor never talked to me about it, and when I told her about the surgery she was not too happy.
Also, when I come back to give her the sample letter for medical necessities, she told me that she would write the letter but I wouldn’t qualify for the surgery.
So, for her I am wasting my time...

  4. One thing you might try is measuring too. I went in for a six month research appt. and they did measurements. I was surprised to learn I've lost a total of 54 inches from all over. My mid-section was one of the highest with over 20 inches lost in that area alone! Keep at it and congrats on your journey thus far!

Hi Sherry - its a running app that trains you to run a 5k in 9 weeks. Formally from Couch 2 5K. [emoji3] you start running at minute intervals and then increase your running each week.

  6. Doubts... I know you're not supposed to look at the scale every day, but I have been. (Don't lecture me.) Today (day 9) was the first day I didn't lose weight. Most days it's been down more than a pound, but this morning my number actually went up a tick. Do we call this the Day 9 Stall? For the first time I feel the fear that I've already gone as far as I will.

Also, I'm wondering if my surgeon made my sleeve too big. I can eat a whole can of Soup (cream of chicken with one can's worth of Water added) easily in one setting. Not feeling the restriction. Worried now that I'll never lose much beyond this.

It ebbs and flows - some days you're down and some up and sometimes nothing at akl. It happens to all of us. Consider your body is changing at the deepest cellular level and give it time to catch up. It will!

  7. Today I hit 95 lbs. on the scale. Almost to 6 month mark. I notice I do get cold quickly now. I've also started the shedding hair process, but I have a ton of hair so its not noticeable right now.

  8. I started my pre op diet Sunday and since then I've been having very bad leg cramps, almost Charlie horses but not as painful. It's at night when I may stretch my legs muscles are seizing up. I don't think I'm dehydrated because I'm drinking well over 100 oz of Water a day. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes! Potassium might be needed! Helped me.

  9. Fitting into hubby's jeans, hiking Tahquamenon Falls, overall health and wellness! Today we celebrated our 13th anniversary with a two mile hike to an international dark sky park (in the dark)! We could see the Milky Way belt, comets and satellites! The park lit the trail with tea lights so you could find your way! It was so cool!20171021_210354_HDR.jpg 20171021_194107.jpg 20171021_085427_Film1.jpg
