    Leg cramps - super painful!!

I have just had a go on a Power Plate trainer and my legs feel as though they have been given a new lease of life. I did not have cramps when I went on the plate just a bit of stiffness after being to the gym. The stiffness has disappeared, This got me thinking that if I woke in the night with leg cramps and stood on the powerplate the cramps would not have a chance!!! Expensive just for cramps £200 but it also exercises your bottom, legs . arms, everything. Just thought I would let you all know. Best wishes laine

    Leg cramps - super painful!!

Hi Most definitely, as suggested by the other members -calcium -magnesium (incidentally, magnesium contibutes to alleviating carb cravings too) -potassium and plenty of Water. However, calcium must be supplemented by vitiman D to gain full benefit. Concerning, the leg cramps - I used to suffer from this and it was agony. A Dr Ali a respected medical advisor in the UK's Daily Mail news paper explained fully why leg cramps occur and it is partly because of lack of oxygen in the muscles and calcium and Vit D help to produce this. Hope your cramps have gone for good Best wishes "Laine":)
  4. I would just like to add to my quote in the previous message. May I ask all those who are anti gay what they would do if their adorable much loved child they reared turned out to be gay. What would you do ?Throw them out of your home and forget them? Try to make them heterosexual thus ensuring a miserable existence in case they lose your love????? I happen to know a man who was so anti gay who found out his loving kind hearted hard working grandson was gay. Did it change the grandfathers views on gay people. I'll say it did. Love, you see, changes everthing. Laine
  5. IMHO this is the most thought provoking answer yet on the subject of gays. Thank goodness there are people like you amongst us. Laine:)
  6. one in seven people have hearing problems. It is often likely when you hear someone talking loudly on their cell phone that they have a hearing problem. Not always of course but often enough.. Laine:)

Nearest beach to main airports. Need help please

Thanks for replies. Betsy Jane ........Ugh! definitely don't want to see tarantulas walking off the banana boats!! So won't be going to Tampa! Just wanted a hotel either on or near the beach not too far from the Airport. Hoodier hater ......... so pleased about your daughter. You must be so happy that she has a great future ahead of her. Leather g Fort Lauderdale sounds wonderful. Might try there. Carlene I will contact Tired Old man - thanks. Laine:)
  8. How can something be wrong that is natural. Most gay people do not choose to be gay. They don't know how to be anything else the same way as heterosexuals don't know how to be homosexual. Science has proven that homoxexuality is a natural occurence. Scientist can distinguish from a post mortem brain whether that brain is a male; femail or homosexual. I wish people would look into these issues further before judging others. Do they know the distress they cause homosexuals by their ignorance. They need to stop judging others and take a look at themselves. I have a close family member who could not have been anything other than gay. Thankfully, he belongs to a family who love and respect him and are not judgemental Laine
  9. Hi I am a lapbander but want to ask a question unrelated to weight loss. I want to visit florida but need to know where the nearest beach is. I know the Hilton have a hotel on a beach but which is the nearest airport . Is there a beach near Disney world. I would be coming from Manchester airport in the UK. Another thing I would like to know is where the Americans themselves stay when on vacation in Florida. One more question. What is the weather like in December Hope you can help. Best wishes laine

Dr. C - What does happen?

Thanks for replying. Makes sense for we bandsters to work with our bands and not against them. It seems that some people are constantly challanging the band and seeing how far they can go (how much they can eat without being sick) thus slowly but surely damaging the good work. Just thought also about the horrid slimy stuff that comes up when a bandster has over eaten (before the food has actually left the pouch) surely that must be necessary digestive juices that should remain where they should be - not constantly brought up by eating too fast or too much. Just my theory. Thanks again Laine:)

Dr. C - What does happen?

Hi Just wondering if overeating can really cause the pouch to stretch and or the band to slip. I've also hear that overeating and the resulting sickness can force some of the stomach below the band to protrude into the pouch. Is this true? One more question is if the band is stitched to the stomach. How can the band possibly slip. Thank you for your support. Laine:)

    Omega 3's

I just take two teaspoons of Udo's oil. The oil is not foul tasting - tastes rather nutty and it better than Omega 3 alone as it contains omega three and 6 in the appropriate dosage. Excellent stuff. Laine:)

    The break is OVER!:)

That is a beautiful inspiring story. a great promotion for our beloved bands. I too am not in a hurry to lose my weight (but don't want to gain anything I have lost). don't think I'll be getting my tongue pierced though (too scared) but what a good way to remind yourself what the band has achieved for you so far. Hope you enjoy your new exercise progamme Best of luck Laine:)
