  1. Yeah, congrats. It's so exciting isn't it!!!
  2. Not alone, there are a bunch of us here is you need to talk. <3
  3. I sort of do, but then I remember the clothes I want to wear (cute t-shirts) and my wedding dress (red, we got married on October 31st and was a costume party. Planned to wear my dress every Halloween and to the Ren Fairs) and just being able to go up the steps in my own house without passing out. That's keeping me going. Plus we play Pokemon Go and I just have not been able to walk this year the way I want to. You can do it.
  4. You might have slipped, but you took extra Protein, that's a good thing. YOU GOT THIS!!!
  5. OH this makes me happy to hear Yeah, I make a bad vegetarian, I like meat WAY too much. Great job and congrats.
  6. I start mine on the 16th of October I think, (Need to see calendar) but yeah, that part is going to be hard for sure. Glad the Optifast Soup helped. Where did you get them? I had been on Optifast also years ago and it helped, but didn't know if you could get outside of them giving them to you. The 16th will be here quick
  7. If you are able and have the time to take off, I'd do it. Just to make sure you get the rest and care you need before going to back to work. I'm stay at home mom, but husband is taking that week off just to help out.
  8. Yeah, not so much as hiding, just not telling certain people. My three kids know, my husband is my biggest supporter, a friend in London, my hair dresser and the nine people I was in class with. When people see me after the summer I'll just be smaller, and well tell them that I changed my diet and exercise, which is what we are doing. They don't need to know about surgery. It's none of their business. And no, there is NOTHING easy about this, at all.
  9. Yes!!! I'm October 30th. I can't wait.
  10. I'm also 5'3" and 202, my surgery date is October 30th and I wish I had done this sooner. I'm also at the lower end to get this done, but it's the only way I am able to get my health back to where it needs to be.
  11. I haven't let anyone but maybe four people know about mine. Trusted friends that I know will not say anything. Second it's none of their business. This is something you are doing for YOU, and if they don't like it, then THEY have the problem, not you. Your making a choice to get your health in better condition for the rest of your life. Go into your consult with your head held high and know that you are doing this for YOU.
  12. Gave you the wrong user name at class, sorry. Thought I did it under that one. Yesterday was fun. Glad to meet you an everyone, looking forward to the next class. Oh and I homeschool also.
  13. YAHOO. Just got cleared like minutes ago, to take the Lakewood classes in Colorado. Next 6 weeks, here I come!!!

  14. YAHOOOOO, Just got cleared and I'll be there
  15. I'm still waiting to see if I can go to this one I had to wear a heart monitor last week and they have been super slow on the results, UGH. I literally have till about 1pm to find out, because will need to get my husband to get the kids and coordinate schedules.
  16. Right, OMG. One closer would be good. Now are you doing the Lakewood one?
  17. No I just asked one of the ladies I'm working with down at Franklin. These are the dates I was told: All of these are the 4pm classes except for Rock Creek. Really wish they had one in Aurora. August 9th Lakewood August 29th at Englwood Sept. 11th at Rock Creek (8:30am-10:00am) Sept 26th at East (Alameda/Havana)
  18. I had my Medical intake and Psych Evaluation week before last, and hopefully getting into the August 9th Class.
  19. Yeah. I finally got the all I've been waiting for from Kaiser. I go in on the end of July to do my Medical Intake Exam and my Mental Exam on the same day. Hoping to get into the August first week of classes then for six weeks!!!! Surgery maybe end of September, early October :)

    I'm so overjoyed I can't stand it.

That's interesting because I've talked to several people in that department and they said they do require us to loose on liquid for at least two weeks before surgery. But will find out more once everything actually starts.

Oh wow, thank you. ALL good info. Yeah, from what I've found out, only that one weigh in also too for us. I'm at 202 right now, ugh (hate it and it hurts), but maintaining it for this reason. I also have My Fitness App, and a couple of others. Water, very easy for me. I've been trying to not drink while eating, that's a hard one. Is this so that you don't get full on liquids, and get full on the actual food then? I use to walk five miles a day. I love the Leslie Sanson walking videos, and have a bunch, also got a Bellcon trampoline last year that I totally wasn't prepared for, LOL.
  23. That's not too bad. Yeah I heard that they can be done on line, I'd check again and will make sure. Oh that's a drive. I've been going to Rock Creek, cause I hate downtown. I will only go down for that for the actual surgery. THank you so much for sharing this. I just want to make sure I'm as prepared and ready as I can be.

Oh no, this is good information. I know I have been consulting with Dr and they have said it would be Bolanaski (not sure I spelled that right). But trying to get the ok from her. Never have smoked a day in my life so wont need to worry about that. How were the classes? Did you have to go to Rock Creek or Downtown. Are they every week, on line?
  25. Thank you for that rundown. I will for sure have to see how ours is then.
