  1. Oh I’m so sorry. I hope you get too feeling better too. Yeah two weeks without protein is way too long. I know they don’t want us to get dehydrated but they really need to check their numbers on this part of the food. I haven’t talked to anyone yet they has been able to do the full 64oz
  2. Right. I just posted another post about it. I’m on the second stage now. Had taken me about seven hours to drink a 11oz Premier Protein drink and it was so good. That at least counts towards my ounces. Going to try and make oatmeal and mashed potatoes tomorrow good luck on being on it for 14 Days. That just sounds crazy. I barely was able to do 40oz this past week.
  3. My hair I don't see that bothered about. I've been shaved, long extensions, and everything in between, even wigs, LOL. The other thing that hasn't happened is that my cycle didn't start. I heard so many comments that once the surgery was done, bam, their cycle started like immediately. So I crammed a bunch of pads in my overnight case, but haven't had to use them. You got this too!!!
  4. Oh great. Yes, the amount of the extra weight that is put on our bodies is crazy. I didn't. Think that an extra 20 pounds would make my knees and ankles hurt so much. I hope good news for when you go in to the doctor and that you get your surgery date soon. Please keep me informed. It's a rough journey, but I wish I had did it years ago. You got this.
  5. OH that's awesome You are doing good I think. My main core morbidity was Sleep Apnea and having that helped me get on the list for the surgery. I'm off that now, which is good. And yes, we don't have as much to loose either. I want to be healthy, not having to take a break on the landing of our steps to get to the bedrooms. My biggest thing, I want the weight off to be able to wear my wedding bands. Glad you have been able to get off your medication and hoping that your next visit shows some good results also keep us informed.
  6. And it's hard cooking for that many people, even little ones, cause not everyone wants to eat the same thing. My husband was just eating a slice of pizza now for lunch and the smell of it, about made me gag.
  7. YES, not too much longer I've done the popsicles too, my husband keeps wanting to steal them, and i"m like NOOOO. Oh, I'm tracking for sure. I took the drink cup that I had in the hospital, it's a 20 ounce bottle, and I'm trying to do two of them, along with Jello, Kool Aid, Popsicles, broth. Oh so for the second stage, one thing we are allowed to have is creamy oatmeal. I have the Low sugar Brown sugar Quaker Oatmeal. I'm a little concerned about eating it whole, so was going to take a pack and grind in the food processor first before making it. Figured that would be better, smoother than just the regular grains. Do you think that's a good idea? I also get to have Boxed mashed potatoes (to be maid with Fairlife milk) pudding, cream of wheat, Yogurt, smooth soups, shakes. And everything that has to be made, using the FairLife milk to make instead of water, and adding powder protein to EVERYTHING

    Two days pre-op

Congrats on doing the pre-op diet. I eventually got to the point where I did JUST shakes. The vegetables were wearing me out and so were the 4 ounces of meat. One thing I did do for the meat part of it, when my husband would go out to get food for him and the kids, I had them get me two plain hamburgers from McDonalds, Wendys, wherever, to have at least that. Took them off the buns and scrapped off whatever toppings and that made it a little better. I just cut them up in small pieces and tried the timer to eat them slowly. At least that way, felt like I was eating with the family, and it had a familiar taste. I wound up loosing about 16 pounds I think doing the pre diet.
  9. OH yeah, I know it's from lack of protein. Even my home nurse that came on Friday said to just do water/liquids. They don't seem to be concerned with the protein till Tuesday. There is no way in hell I'd be able to walk the 30 minutes they want either??? Not with lack of calories. I'm not hungry so that's good. What all did you guys do about trying to get in the 64 ounces of liquids??? Our dietician has been hard core when she talks to me about YOU HAVE TO DRINK 64 OUNCES a day. I'm averaging about 40 and that's it. I just can't get anymore into me, LOL. I talked to one of my other health workers in the Bariatric team and she was ok with just the 40oz so that made me feel better, but I talked to her on Wednesday. I think I'll call back on Monday to see what she says, maybe she'll let me have some protein shake before Tuesday.
  10. It would be interesting to try, maybe after I’m at the second phase on Tuesday, I might have to get some. I didn't even know there was such a thing.
  11. I had my surgery on 10/30, so only six days out. Feeling rough with JUST the liquid diet right now, second stage of soft food starts on Tuesday and can't wait down about 20 pounds since the LSD, so that's good.

    Workouts after surgery

I hate gyms, don't want to pay for them, or go. I use and have used before Leslie Sansone walking videos. She can be found on YouTube, I think most of her walks are on there and they are WONDERFUl. You can start out with a one mile walk, up to I think she's got 6 miles. She adds weights, and bands in them, and just stuff you have around the house and it really does work. I usually do mine while on the computer then I have a movie or TV show on the television while I'm doing the work out. And you don't need a lot of room to do them. Walking at home is great, if it's snowing outside, or windy, raining, whatever, you can do every day JUST at home. Look her up, I think you'll like her.
  14. Oh that's awesome. I still have that scale in the ABJDs, and LOVE finding props for them. I wish I could sew, can barely sew buttons on regular clothes, LOL. How long have you been in the hobby?
  15. I do have my Sugar Free Jello, I even asked our dietician about adding some protein powder to it, but she said not to yet, which I thought was a little strange.
  16. Straight up, I dont'. I have a 11 year old boy, and five year old daughter. My son is home schooled, so he doesn't really get up till about 2pm, he does school at night from about 10-midnight or so, and the five year old, I get her her breakfast of cereal in the AM and then put out snacks for her to munch on all day, then when my husband comes home, he gets to handle them both for dinner along with himself. He can cook, or they order out. With their metabolism, I'm not too worried about it yet. My son will eat later in the day, and he can work the microwave with food already done, or simply PB&J sandwiches. I told them both that with this surgery and the pre-op diet, I was not going to cook for a long time and for them both to figure it out. Now this might sound harsh, but when. I was growing up, I was in band, so my dinner time with my family were in different hours, and it made me learn how to cook for myself and if I wanted just sand which then I did. I do miss cooking for them, because I'm a huge fan of cooking and baking, but right now, I need to worry about ME. And with being around that much food, three times a day, I know I'll loose my mind, LOL.
  17. No, my doctors haven't wanted me to do the protein shakes yet. They want me to concentrate on JUST liquid so water, pop Scylces, jello, Kool Aid. I swear, Tuesday starting the second stage can't get here fast enough, LOL. I totally get the naps during the day. I've had the best naps these last six days than I've ever had in my life

    Pain after surgery

How were you able to walk that much with no calories? That's where my issue lies. I put up a post about it. With next to no calories, what did you do? I don't have so much of the gas pain as what I did the first day (surgery on the 30 of October) but OMG, I Have NO energy to even feel like getting out of bed.
  19. Fantastic You look amazing and wearing boots I want to wear when I get to my goal. You go girl.
  20. It's not much but for me when I put on my iWatch and was able to put it back to the third notch made me very happy.

    Constipation?

What is watermelon water? Not sure I've heard of it?
  22. Yes I have Walmart nearby. We had picked up some but then looking at it the package through me off. I know I can get it now. Thank you all
  23. Oh it is? Even if the packs from the hospital say it, but ones from the store don’t. That’s awesome!!! Thank you so much.
  24. Hey, we are surgery buddies. Mine is 30th they changed the times on me now twice, I"m back to check in at 1pm, and surgery at 3pm!!!!
  25. Oh I totally get that. The amount of stuff I had to go through from almost the beginning of this year till I got my surgery date was insane. Even having to GAIN 20 pounds to make the BMI mark, and that was actually a lot harder than what I thought it was going to be. I'm SOOOOO sick of fast food right now. But we are here and IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN
