Well the field trip went well until we went to skating rink and a lil girl fell and possibly broke her arm in 2 places. I was the closest adult so I got the pleasure of immobalizing it. All I have to say is TGIF! I need a break after todays events!

Great idea wstorm, Thanks bunches! That sounds wonderful sillygoose! I have to drive the bus for 3 field trips in next 6 days of school so I'm going to give that a try! Very true about the lunchables bigmomma! Thanks for the blessing! Ive been driving a bus since December and Ive had a few days that I wondered if this was a correct career choice! LOL I love all the kids on my route and love to some times be the first smiling face they see in the mornings! I think I'm going to do turkey and cheese roll ups, some carrots, and maybe an apple or some sugar free pudding. Lots of water ofcourse...hope there are bathrooms near us! LOL

I am a bus driver for our local school district. I'm driving for a field trip on Friday (for my daughters class ) I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good cold sack lunch to take with me. Just to let everyone know, I dont do tuna, yogurt, or cottage cheese. LOL Thanks and I cant wait to read your suggestions!

Anyone from this group still meeting? I live in Toulon and I'm looking for a support group...

I havent really been in lapband mode thru the fall and winter. I have noticed how much I'm failing and decided its time to straighten up! On May 27th 2008 I was banded in Chicago by Dr Lutfi. At that time I was around 247 lbs. I had one fill in August of 2008. When I fell off the wagon I was at 230 lbs. I'm not really sure why I fell off the wagon, I was loving the way I was feeling and the ability to wear smaller clothes. But I did and I'm so ashamed! Dr Lutfi's office only does fills on Tuesday mornings now from 7:30 to 9:30 am. I live 3 and half hours from his office. If I was going to an appointment I would have to leave my home in the middle of the night! So I have found a Dr in Glaesburg Illinois which is 40 minutes from me! He has accepted me as a patient and I go for a fill on April 20th 2009! Dr Lutfi took medicaid and this new Dr does not but personally I think its worth paying $120 for a fill and not have to travel so far or spend a whole day away from home. I am currently 255 lbs. I have one HUGE downfall and that is that I'm addiced to Pepsi! I am allergic to nutrasweet and aspertame so that means NO diet anything unless it has splenda in it. The last few days I have been drinking Pepsi One but I know that I have to knock that off too. I was thinking tea with splenda, what do you all think? I would love to find fellow lapbanders that are near by for support. I live in Toulon, Illinois. Near Kewanee, Galesburg, and Peoria. My husband and a few of my close friends are supportive but dont understand why you have to go from liquids to mushie to solid food after a fill or anything like that. Also no one understands why this has to be a solid mindset and you cant cheat! If there is anyone out there that is looking for an exercise buddy or just someone to talk to and bounce stuff off of please contact me! Thank you all for reading! I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement! So here is my story and I am looking forward to advice from you all!... April 7th 2008 I made the trip to Chicago Illinois to meet my surgeon and go to the seminar. On April 8th 2008 I had a private physical with the surgeon and he told me that I was an excellent canidate for the lap band! I was so excited, I was scheduled for all the pre op tests which was a few weeks later. I did really well with the weight loss, I went to the pre op tests and was approved by the shrink to have the test. I then received a surgery date of May 27th 2008. Surgery went well, I got home, followed the orders fairly well. When I started this I was 277 lbs. when I fell off the wagon I was 240 lbs. Well I am now 255 lbs. I go back to Dr on April 21st 2009 for another fill. Oh I had one fill after surgery and before I fell off the wagon. Please any words of encouragement would help! I live in Toulon Illinois, its bout 35 miles north of Peoria. We are about 3 or 4 hours apart. I dont know any other people in Illinois that are banded or being banded. Hopefully we can get to chat more. Thanks!
