What does the piercing have to do with anything? It's a 10 year old piercing, I didn't want to have to get it pierced again, so after my drain was out I cleaned it and put it back in.

Update- 7 days of cephalexin every 8 hours. No fever and keeping them covered for now!
And yes I am from Canada, but our ERs are still a nightmare. The Dr. Visits are covered but for me the medications are out of pocket. Hopefully these will do the trick though, appreciate everyone's concern. All spots generally feel ok at the moment, one is even a bit itchy (taking that as a good sign of healing)
will update in a few days again
    thanks everyone

Nice edit dreamingsmall, maybe you should take your 'hate of people like me' and beg off. So much for a positive community here. I don't have the luxury of being hypochondriac or a tit but that's for your negative remarks. You may have edited them but I still got to read the original from the email notification. I think this will be my last post on here. To everyone that tried to convince me that I was basically going to die, I'm happy to report I'm just fine. To everyone else that was supportive, I thank you and wish you the best on your journey.

No, I had to have all jewelry off, but I figured since it was such a buggar to have it pierced in the first place (it got infected, go figure🙄) that I was putting the thing back in right away, lol.
I do thank you all for your concern, but they really honestly are looking better now. I have mentioned to the Dr's way before this surgery that I am a slow healer and I have been tested for diabetes etc. Blood work has always been normal. I have always been a slow healer if I get scratched or bit, they usually become infected. I also bruise extremely easy. That being said I don't get sick with cold or flu very often at all, so it's not just a weak immune system. I always thought it was odd, but I honestly don't know what I could do about it. I don't want to overuse antibiotics, they always worry about resistance. Another random but maybe interesting fact- if I get stung by bees I usually end up on IV antibiotics as I supposedly react to a sting like I would a snake bite, I start swelling at the site something fierce. Not in an anaphylactic sense, for my whole arm to swell from a sting on my hand took 48 hours...
It does not give one a good sense of being in control of their body🤔

I know exactly what you mean, I'm 8 days post op. I finally found some sugar free Popsicles and that really seemed to help. It's 30+ degrees out right now and I don't know how much more broth I can take. It hurts to take in any liquid room temp or colder (yes even the Popsicle has its moments of discomfort) so it's taking me two hours to choke down a warm Protein Shake. I know I'm not getting in my full liquids yet and I have no energy. It's amazing how much time and thought food received from me personally. I'm slightly dreading my first day back to work tomorrow.
The only words I can offer are to stay strong, this won't be forever, once the stomach heals, things will get better. You'll be able to start making some fantastic food choices and you will start to look and feel amazing!

Chavon, that's what 2 of mine were doing, but I sutured them closed. I'm a slow healer normally though, if I get scratched or bit at work they take a long time to heal. I was starting to worry though as they just won't stay closed.
Bigjoe I was sleeved June 17 (I mistakenly posted above the 19th, but it was the 17th, 15 days post op now)

Are you using baby forks? Or the tiny shrimp forks? Tiny utensils and tiny plates. Maybe don't put your full serving all on one dish? That can be a loaded gun as you would technically be getting up for 'seconds' but it breaks up your allotted amount at least...?
Try eating with your non-dominant hand?
I'm not even off full liquids yet, but pre-op I put in some practice with the shrimp forks trying to set new habits. I cut up my food very small also before I sat down, literally couldn't get as much on the tiny fork, lol. Best of luck
