  2. Hi All! I had my surgery on August 31 and it was the best thing I could have done for myself!! I don’t have one regret and love my new lifestyle!!! H/W 275.0 S/W 269.0 C/W 231.4

  4. Hi trying4me!! How are you doing? How are things going for you at home? Today I woke up nearly feeling like myself and it's fantastic. Struggling to get all 64 oz of liquids down but am getting closer to it everyday!!! I can get the protein and stay within my calories no problem though. It was really painful to drink until today. I think it was still the gas from the surgery that was doing it. I am taking small drinks today and everything seems to going down pretty well for the most part. I even was able to to do housework and laundry today .... I hope everything is going as well for you!!!
  5. In glad you are doing pretty good. I'm only 2 days out and definitely don't have any hunger at all. In fact all the food commercials just gross me out. I'm sure that will wear off soon enough. How are you doing with your protein? I get start full liquids tomorrow for now I am still on clears.
  6. Good morning trying4me!! How are doing today? I feel great. Hardly any pain at all and my nausea is getting better and better. I even had some chicken broth at breakfast this morning. No more IV for me, just waiting for the Dr. to come discharge me this morning (fingers crossed) I'm ready to go home that's for sure.
  7. I'm doing okay. The doctor kept me in the hospital for another night because of all my nausea. Everything but that is going great. How about you?Are you at home tonight?
  8. I got sick three times last night, not from drinking anything just in my sleep. I didn't have any nausea medication at that point. Once they gave it to me I felt much better. Going to go walk again right now. Worked with my respiratory therapist this morning and drinking a little here and there when I am awake. I am glad you are feeling better. Keep up the great work!!!
  9. Woo hoo!! Made it through. Feeling great. No pain meds needed. Walking well. Having no problem getting my water down!!! I hope it continues this way. Definitely sore though, it feels like I have done about a million sit-ups lol. I can't wait to hear from you trying4me and anyone else that would like to comment!!!!
  10. Yep.... it's time!!! Good luck to you!!! See you on the other side
  11. I will send up good thoughts as well!!! I just got my surgery time.... 9:15 am, less than 24 hours away!!!
  12. Tomorrow is the day!!!! I am super excited and also a little nervous!!! I only had to do a liquid diet today and it seems to be just fine. I am really ready for this. My wife was sleeved in May so I am super excited to be in the same spot on the journey as her. I worry about the gas pain but I am tough girl and am going to will myself through it!! Lol. I don't know my surgery time yet as the hospital won't call me until around 5:00 to let me know. Wish me luck!!!
  13. Thank you for your wonderful encouragement. I am determined to take little to no pain meds and to get up and walk as soon as I get out of recovery! My wife had her surgery in May and I am super excited for us to be getting healthy together. Like you I have wonderful support and I believe that is what helps to make a person successful!! Tomorrow is the day!!!!
  14. I am getting my sleeve this Thursday and I am so excited!! I have to say I am a bit nervous though, not exactly sure why. I only have a 1 day liquid diet the day before my surgery and as silly as it may seem I am really looking forward to it. I think it will all finally seem real once Wednesday gets here! Anyone else getting sleeved the same day?
  15. I have Dr Fedorka too. My surgery is on Aug 31st and I am glad that everything went well and your pain level was low. I can't wait for my date to come!!!

  19. I am going for my pre-op appointment today and my surgery is 2 weeks away. I am so excited, I can hardly stand it!!!! I am ready for this and looking forward to the new lifestyle I will be creating for myself in this wonderful journey!!!! Anyone else out there as excited as I am about getting their sleeve???
  20. My date is August 31st..... it still seems like forever away. My wife and I got cleared within a couple of weeks of each other and she was already sleeved on May 17th. It's so amazing to be on this journey with her and watch all her progress. I honestly can't wait for my surgery and wish it wasn't so far out. Hopefully it will come quicker than I think!
  21. What is the hard way? Will she ruin her weight-loss progress or hurt her insides? And no, I don't plan on doing the same thing, I'm too much of a scaredy to deviate from the plan I have....
  22. Hi All. My wife just had her VGS 5/17/17 and mine isn't until 8/31/17. I know we all have our diets that we are supposed to follow after surgery but my wife is a stubborn rule breaker! I worry that she will hurt herself internally but know that all Doctors diets are different. She is basically eating regular food, although only a few bites, and is now wondering what the repercussions could be. Does anyone out there have any experience with eating too soon or is she okay as long as it isn't hurting her? Thank you in advance for all your answers
