  1. My new favorite thing right now is Egg salad!! That and salad is what I'm eating a lot of. I also have a GoGurt Simple every morning. I REALLY struggle with taking my vitamins though ☹️
  2. My bariatric advantage does come directly from the company, the barimelts I get from amazon
  3. Bariatric advantage is my go to for multi vitamins and calcium, barimelts is my preference for the others as they melt in your mouth. Amazon is the best place for the barimelts. Also I buy children's omega-3 gummies bc I'm limited on what I can take for those. Personally I added Biotin as well!!!
  4. I have AZ BCBS and I went to my last MSW visit on 2/14, called the surgeon on 2/17 to make sure she had my paperwork and we could get the insurance approval process moving. We scheduled me for 3/15 and received my insurance approval the same day as my pre op appointment on 3/6. I feel as though I got lucky with my approval process, I hope others have the same luck!!!

    HELP !!

My doctor told me to ONLY eat light or low fat mayo from here on out once I was able to add it back into my diet. As far as eggs go, how they are prepared will affect how your pouch reacts to it. Scrambling them will just add air to them which will cause you pain while eating them. When I make them I do over easy or hard boiled and haven't had issues yet!!

    Surgery in a few hours

Don't stress the post op walking, the nurses and CNA that I had at St. Luke's (especially the ones at night) were super supportive and on the first night I was struggling bc of the meds and the can walked with me and was like a cheerleader the whole way around. The next morning i was like a brand new person and had to be told to stop walking and take a break! It's easier than it sounds!! Do you have a scheduled date yet?? I know you waiting on insurance but maybe a tentative date???

    Surgery in a few hours

As crazy as it may sound I loved how he didn't hesitate to yell at my right in front of my family when he found out I didn't pre-fill my prescriptions prior to surgery!! I think the fear of disappointing him keeps me pushing further harder and harder!! HW: 298 (9/12/16) SW: 275 (3/15/17) CW: 213 (6/2/17) GW: 165 (working my way there!)

    What's on your bucket list?

I want to jump out of an airplane! I've always been too "big" to do the tandem jump without paying a "fat girl" fee. Now I can and will do it in the near future!!

    Surgery in a few hours

Hi! I just ran across your post, I am from Glendale AZ and Dr. Sprunger also did my surgery. I had mine done on 3/15/17. Dr. Sprunger is AMAZING and made me so comfortable with the surgery. Would love to talk some time about your journey! It's nice to find someone close by!!
  10. I LOVE Dr. Sprunger! He is a strict doctor but at the same time really ensures that you understand his expectations. I had my bypass done by him on 3/15/17 and am looking forward to my 3 month follow up to show off my progress and ask some questions!!

    Alcohol consumption

I have the same issue/question. I'm getting married in 7 weeks and REALLY want to have a little wine with the wedding party in the Limo and a sip or two when we do our toast, I just don't know if it's ok or now. At that point I will be 4 months post op!! Any advice??

TSA body scan anomaly after surgery

I am flying from Phoenix to Chicago in July for my wedding, 4 months post op and I'm currently down 62lbs from pre op & 83lbs since I started my journey last September! I'm really nervous about being stopped at security like this!! [emoji51][emoji51] When this happened did security give you any advice on how to not make this happen???

    March 2017, RNY'ers

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum as I'm realizing I need support of others. I had my surgery on 3/15/17 and am headed towards my 3 month post op visit. I know I'm making great progress but I'm so BORED with the limited foods. I started at 298lbs, was 275lbs at my pre op appointment and this morning weighed in at 213lbs. 85lbs since the biggining is amazing being that it's only need a short time! It's hard for me to remember that everyone is different and on a different track, I constantly find myself comparing to others....anyone else have this problem now??
