  1. Cheri! Thank you so much...your feedback and reassurance means a lot to me! It's so easy to get defeated and feel like you're not keeping up with the norm
  2. Hi all- I have a quick question. I am nine weeks out. Starting weight 255, surgery weight 243, current weight 217. I lost 12 lbs on two week pre-surgery diet. Lost 16 lbs post surgery. And lost 8 lbs second month. I feel like this is slow but I wanted to hear feedback from you all if possible?
  3. My doctor released me for all exercise 1.5 weeks out from surgery. He asked for all patients to exercise daily for one hour.
  4. What was your starting by weight? And how much have you lost so far?
  5. Hi All, I'm looking to for fellow sleevers in the Long Beach or surrounding areas. I was sleeved in June 16th of this year and would love to have someone to share he journey with, ask questions, get support and vice versa. HW: 255, SW:243, CW: 221 Thanks [emoji6]
  6. What are you all eating and how many calories at six weeks out?
  7. Lol...this is the best post ever!!! Totally describes exactly how I feel...confused as to why I don't feel worse? And yes, pre-op so much harder than post op.
  8. Hi ALL! Looking for some support as I move into my 6th week. My email on MFP: emailkariann@yahoo.com Thanks!
  9. My email: emailkariann@yahoo.com
  10. I have lost only 16 lbs at 5 weeks so I am frustrated along with you. Had hoped for much quicker weight loss. I'm grateful for no complications, however.
  11. Thank you for sharing that with me...a little discouraging when I hear people losing 25-30lbs in their first month l.
  12. I wondered the same thing too. My doctor told me at 1.5 weeks I needed to workout 1 hour a day everyday. So I have been.
  13. Hi all! I am kind of frustrated and looking for feedback on my weight loss progress. I had my surgery June 16th and I am about one month post-op. I have been eating between 500-600 calories and working out 5-6 times a week since a week and a half after surgery. I have not been super diligent with water, however, on most days I meet my protein goal. I have only lost 16lbs since my surgery. This scares me because if it is moving slowly now, I am scared it will even get worse as time goes on. Any suggestions on changes I should make? Thank you!
  14. Anyone eating a vegan diet and any recommendations on what you are eating? Recently sleeved (June 16th) and I am interested in hanging my diet. Thanks!
  15. For me here two things were crucial that I didn't expect: a recliner so I could sleep sitting up and score reflux medicine (I used gavascon and a ppi, like medium). Post surgery I had tremendous pain from acid reflux and when I would fall asleep, acid would shoot up and I would choke. Luckily I was able to borrow a recliner and it literally saved me. If you don't have a recliner, anything (wedge foam pillow) that allows you to sleep upright will be a lifesaver. I am 3 weeks post surgery and I still sleep in recliner 50% of time.
  16. It's possible but you would be very uncomfortable. I think it's better to prioritize your recovery and self care and just rest. I agree with the above comment about 3 days. At three days I was able to push myself a little more.
  17. Thanks everyone! I feel like I can eat a lot for where i am at. It's easy for me to get 700-800 calories, especially with drinking the shake...and I'm kinda worried about not losing. I am wondering if maybe I should cut out the shake and just eat regular food (see if I can meet my protein needs) and that way feel more satisfied. They also only told me to try to get 50 grams of protein but maybe I should up that?
  18. Hi all! i am two weeks post op today. I am wondering how many calories most people are able to consume at this phase or what is recommended? My doctor was kind of vague. Thanks
  19. Hi all! i am two weeks post op and feeling great! Can anyone tell me how many calories you are at this phase? Thanks!
  20. Why did u convert
  21. I'm one day out from surgery but I notice every time I go to sleep (sitting upright) I regurgitate liquid and almost choke...has anyone experienced this? And did it get better?
  22. Hi All- how long were you in pain after your surgery? Thanks!
  23. Hello, My surgery date is June 16th. I started a liquid diet starting on June 2nd. In doing the liquid diet, I have realized how much I rely on food to bring my anxiety down and I have lost that coping method. Has anyone else experienced this and did it get much worse after surgery? How have you coped with this? I am currently seeing a therapist and plan to continue seeing one.
