I am in the exact same boat and it's depressing me. Sleeved 6/30, had a hard time with shakes the first couple days. Down 10.6 pounds, 4 of which I gained due to the swelling of surgery and now I have no problem at all getting all three Protein Shakes down, I had a cup of broth, 1/2 cottage cheese, no sugar added fudgsicle, and all my Water. No problem at all. I'm starting to wonder if my Dr didn't sleeve me at all [emoji17]

Are you eating sugar free pudding? I could literally use that as a laxative. Check the ingredients list. Any sweetener that ends in"ol" kills me.
I loved the title of this thread. [emoji23]

There is now a new medicine they use for stress tests that doesn't make you feel like you are going to die. Not sure how widespread its use is yet, but keep your fingers crossed that you get the new stuff. The old stuff is/was the pits.

I just had a treadmill stress test last week. I had an abnormal EKG, delayed R wave progression. I follow up next week with the cardiologist. I am annoyed at the delay.

I have to have a treadmill stress test done as well. Had 2 EKG's that came back adnormal so my doctor wants to make sure my heart it healthy enough for surgery. Mine is on June 13th, a little after yours. I'm nervous as well, but it's for the best and for our safety.

I am approved for surgery and have decided to tell immediate family and select friends. These forums were helpful as I considered if I should tell people and who to tell. Since many of my friends are overweight as well, I decided that that I owed it to them to be upfront about having surgery. Hope this helps as other consider how to tell.
    -----------------------------------
    Hello Family & Friends,
I have decided to have a type of weight loss surgery called the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (or Gastric Sleeve). This is something I've been thinking about and looking into for nearly a year now.
This is not a quick fix, or the easy way out. The sleeve is a permanent tool to assist with making life-long changes. I've been morbidly obese for nearly 20 years and right now I am at my heaviest. I have tried countless diets and medically supervised plans but have had limited success in managing my weight. I have reached the point that that I am no longer willing to accept the physical limitations of my weight. When my insurance agreed to cover the procedure – I decided I needed to take advantage of this opportunity.
I have done a full investigation into this surgery and my surgeon, gone through all of the seminars, and have finished all the required testing. My surgery is scheduled for June 13th. The hospital and my surgeon is a Bariatric Center of Excellence. If you would like to look further into this surgery and the program I chose, please visit http://denverbariatrics.com/
At this point, I am only telling a select group of family and friends. I do not want this to be a secret however I also do not feel the need to publicly broadcast personal medical information. Your discretion with further disclosure is appreciated.
I’m excited about this next step in my life and your support would mean the world to me.

Thank you everyone! I was told 3rd day of liquid diet is hard. 3rd night is no joke either! I slept well the next night, doing great since. I've upped my Protein and try to have a sugar free popcicle or sugar free Jello every 2 hours or so and that helps. I think it was also my body saying, "What the heck!" I'm keeping an eye on my blood pressure as well. I really appreciate the comments. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I had never passed out before, and that was scary. Thanks again!

Kris10n got a reaction from Here_I_Go_Again in What was your breaking point?
Mine was after taking a year long planned trip to Disney world for a week ( in which I was supposed to lose 2 pounds a week for the entire year before and failed) with my whole family and having to "sit out" walking around the lake at Epcot.
My doctor had suggested wls 4 years ago and I was completely against it, but after that trip although I did really well for as heavy as I am, I want to catch up with my niece who is going to be five this year. And I'm engaged and want to do a bucket list of things with my fiancé/soon-to-be husband.
Right now all I want to do is get off all my medications, and not have to use the seatbelt extender on the plane LOL, but that list is endless.

You guys are great!! Thanks for sharing, it gives me good ideas and is a big relief to know I'm not alone. Today, day 4, is slightly better-- in just 3 hours I have almost finished my 8 oz of herbal tea. I can't wait until I can move on to yogurt and applesauce and cottage cheese after 4 more days...

Hi everyone, I am new here and so happy I found these forums!
Question-the only thing I am waiting for is to pass my stress test. It's scheduled for June 9th. They had tried to do a normal one on a recumbent bike but I completely lost my breath and couldn't complete it. So now I have to have one medically induced. I'm a little scared of this.
Has anyone here had to do that?
