One week update
Hi everyone wanted to post my one week post-op weigh-in. SW was 182lbs. Today I was 166lbs. Goal weight is 120lbs and I can't wait to get there. It feels really good to see the scale go down for once.

Bruises and rib pain
Aaaw yes I'm fine thank you! I actually googled a search when I didn't get a response and found that it's quite common. I'm so much better today. I walk a lot. Wednesday will be one week post op and today was the first day on a treadmill. I just can't wait to get these staples out [emoji30]

Bruises and rib pain
Hey everyone so 5 days out of surgery. I am becoming stronger each day but I find myself out of breath sometimes and I have a bruise on my left side ribcage that's swollen and blue. That's the only pain I have right now and my belly button (which is where they pulled out my tummy). Anyone else have bruises and trouble breathing? I will contact my doctor on Monday about it. I'm seeing him on Friday to remove the staples as well.

- Not coping
Update - I'm going to be discharged tomorrow. They gave me some fresh juice (orange and mango mix) and it stayed down. They removed my IV and drip (is that the same thing I don't know) anyway, I walked a lot today and got so tired I slept for 2 hours. Did any of you had your incisions stapled? Did it hurt when they removed it on the 10th day?- Not coping
They have been giving me emitino but I prefer zofran really helped during my pregnancy [emoji173]️- Not coping

Hi everyone. I had my sleeve yesterday and I'm not tolerating any fluids. Feeling nauseous. The pains are so bad. They only giving me 30ml of water every hour but I haven't done more than 60ml. I have been walking but just not coping. Any advice- In hospital
Hi I'm in the hospital already and having my sleeve done at 10am tomorrow morning. It's now 18:37 in Kenya. I'm so nervous.... please keep me in your prayers. [emoji120]- Pre-Op Diet
Hi I also had my ultrasound and all the tests that showed my liver is of normal size. However, been on the pre-op liquid diet for a week. [emoji4] I was also wondering but was too scared to ask the doc.- Waking up after surgery
Thanks so much everyone. I think I need to stop overthinking everything- Waking up after surgery
Hi how long did it take you to wake up after surgery and the anesthesia to wear off? Also does everyone have a tube bag after surgery?- Surgery buddies? Lower bmi, early thirties
Hi there! I'm 32, getting sleeved on Tuesday the 6th. I'm 5'4 and 180. I'm a full time student and sahm [emoji173]️- Day 1 survivor
I'm not sure why I wasn't given more information - I guess because I'm doing it in Kenya. They said clear liquids - I can add protein to it as well but should be minced.- Day 1 survivor
Yeah clear broths and herbal teas, coffee too without milk and sugar.- Day 1 survivor
Thanks I know it's normal - was looking for some advice as to what others had to stifle that feeling. But thanks for your comment- Day 1 survivor
Hi I started my pre-op liquid diet today. My surgery is on the 6th. I can only have clear liquids but I feel like I'm on day 1 of survivor. My tummy is growling like crazy. Any tips? I don't know how to do this for an entire week.- Pcos, Hashimoto's, insulin resistance
Hi there! I just joined and have so many questions. ? I'm thinking of doing the vsg in 2 weeks but I'm scared and also worried that because of my thyroid issue I might gain weight after surgery. I am 1.63 and 181 pounds. My bmi is 32. I'm really struggling and I'm so desperate to lose this weight. If there's anyone on here that has similar health issues and has been successful with a vsg please reach out. Thank you in advance. ❤️ - Not coping
