Getting pregnant less than 12 mths after surgery
I'm so sorry that you received such a rude obnoxious comment - she tends to be a troll on most posts! I'm also a mom of 2, and I asked my surgeon about falling pregnant after surgery and I was told I could after 6 months. Not that I'm going to try yet, but I did ask. Nothing is wrong with finding out what's best for you! You get all the medical advice and advice from others on here because that's your right. Don't bother about the judgmental comments. I wish you all the best and pray that in time you will conceive. God willing!

Calories at 3 months
No I wasn't told that, I wasn't given a plan, I wasn't told to weigh my food and track calories. And yes doesn't mean that I should BUT I can, as compared to two friends that had the surgery before me. You do realize everyone is different though right?? Anyway I'm 22lbs away from my goal weight of 120lbs so I'm happy with my progress even with eating and not tracking in 3 months [emoji111]️

Calories at 3 months
Hey I'm 3 months now and I don't know how to count my calories but I can eat quite a bit and that scares me because some people who are about 9 months in can't eat as much as me. I eat everything too with no discomfort.

Coffee question???
I was told I can have coffee even few days after surgery. Is there any reason why we can't have it?

What else can I have?
Hi all! I'm 16 days post op and I'm so tired of having yoghurt in the mornings and clear liquid soups. According to my doctor, I can have puréed food from the 4th of July. But seriously, what else can I have? I have been making fresh juices and making my own popsicles but he said no protein shakes. Help please

Staples removed
I also thought since I'm not that big they would use glue (was 177lbs on surgery day) so I don't think it's the size. I think it depends on the surgeon. Anyway, my incisions are little scabby but only belly button hurts a little when I clean it now and dry it.

Staples removed
Watch YouTube videos on staple removal after vsg. Some surgeons use staples some use glue, some just stitch. I wish he used stitches. But to be honest this looks better in terms of scaring.

Drinking With a Straw?
My doctor told me today that if doesn't hurt you, it's fine to use a straw... Ps. I'm 10 days out and used a straw but took in a little and was fine.

Staples removed
Hi guys so I'm 10 days post op, the doctor removed my staples today and it hurt a bit. My belly button is a sore because he had to take out the staples from there. (They removed part of the tummy from my belly button). Okay so my questions [emoji4] does it hurt when you shower and wash over the incisions? I'm so scared now. Also, how long has it taken for the incisions to close? Mine are obviously still open so not sure if it will burn if soap is applied there. Please help...[emoji120][emoji8][emoji173]️thanks in advance

Can I have this?
Thanks but there isn't any premier protein in Kenya. I will check at the health stores though today. Got until Tuesday and then I think I start the next phase of liquids (can't remember what the doc said now but he did say it will be liquid but with some solids).

One week update
Have you checked your thyroid levels? I have a chronic thyroid illness so I know mine could also be attributed to that plus the surgery.

One week update
Maybe our bodies are just tired after having a major surgery, even though it's the least invasive, it's still major.

One week update
I'm feeling good, not on pain meds anymore. Hair is falling though but was given a syrup three times a day, three times a week. I get really tired sometimes and just fall off to sleep for a few hours without meds. Not sure what's that about considering it never happened before.
