  1. So... November 2016, picked insurance that finally covered weight loss surgery. Something Ive been thinking about for a few years already. 55 years old and i shudder when I look at the scale.... 350.4 and 5' 8". Being tall, ive always thought i carried my weight well, but pictures over the last few years, that I'm even in, tell another story, the real one. Met with my PCP on March 3rd this year. Agreed i was good candidate and congratulated me on taking the 1st step, asking for help. Referred me to metabolic clinic on April 5th. Second approval to move forward! So happy, yet confused & scared. May 12th saw the bariatric surgeon. Asked more questions and got more answers. Surgery has come a long way in the last 10 years, and now its 1-2 days in the hospital vs weeks and recovery back to work minimum 3 weeks if no problems. Feeling good about this positive life change. Ironically, my next appointment is on the 31st, my birthday. Wish me luck!! Sent from my LG-UK495 using BariatricPal mobile app
