    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

I know the challenge is over, but I broke the 200 mark and am down to 196.6. Woo hoo! If I knew how to make a spread sheet I'd start another challenge. This was so much fun!

    Bariatric vs. Unury

I have not tried the Bariatric Fusion, but I LOVE the Unjury Chicken flavor. My only criticism is that it is a bit salty. I just add a little more water than is called for and it solves that problem.

    Regret

This is excellent advice. Keep in mind that someday soon you will have more food choices. It may be a struggle in the short term, but the results are worth it. Take a look through the success stories. All those people have had struggles on their journeys, but I would guess that every one of them would tell you it was worth it! I was super hungry at two weeks out. Now at three months out it seems like a distant memory and I'm glad I powered through it. Good luck and stay strong!

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

10/20/17 201.0 this morning. One stinking pound away from my challenge goal! I'm still unbelievably pleased with the 20 pounds I lost during the challenge. This has been so motivating! I hope there will be a winter challenge! Thank you for organizing!

    55 pounds down! Feeling snacky

I was sleeved July 10th. I have found that my level of hunger has fluctuated. During the times when I feel more hungry I allow myself to eat snacks, as long as they are low carb and low sugar. That has worked for me so far. Congrats on your amazing success and keep up the hard work!

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

205.4 October 13, 2017 Wtf, I was 203.6 yesterday and my eating/drinking was totally on point. Ugh!!!!
  9. I was sleeved July 10th. I'm down 47.6 since the day of surgery and 62.6 since the start of my two week pre-op diet. I haven't had any food aversions, which has been great. I'm sticking to my plan which is protein, veg, limited fruit, some beans, and cheese. Staying away from carbs and sugar. So far it has not been a struggle. I'm looking to increase my activity as well. So far I've just been walking and getting in around 10,000 steps a day on average. Congratulations on your great progress!

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

Nice work! I am 207.3 today. Crossing my fingers for a loss like yours this week! It would blow my mind to see 201 on the scale! Did you do anything different this week for such a great loss?

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

207.3 October 6, 2017 My body seems to like a two pound a week loss, regardless of diet and activity choices.

    GOAL! (B&A pictures)

You look phenomenal! I know loose skin tolerance is a personal and individualized thing, but I can only dream that my skin looks as great as yours when I am at goal! Congratulations on reaching goal!

    Starbucks Egg bites

Yes! These are my go to if I have to grab a meal on the run. They are delicious.

    Hair loss

In my experience, nothing is gonna stop the hair loss. I started biotin 2 weeks pre-op and have taken it daily since. I've gotten in 60-90 grams of protein daily since post op week 2. Hair loss started gradually in week 10. Now at week 12 it's really coming out. Thankfully I had thick hair to start with. All I'm hoping is that the loss isn't noticeable to others. I guess we all have to ask ourselves: would we rather be overweight and unhealthy with no hair loss, or thinner and healthier with a bit less hair? I'll take the latter every time!

    July Sleevers

Your mental approach to stalls is spot on. As far as the "body's break before another losing run", my weight loss pattern is a prime example of this. For the last month or so my weight stays consistent or fluctuates by a few ounces Tuesday through Friday of every week. The scale only goes down on Saturday, Sunday, and sometimes Monday. It's crazy how that pattern has been so consistent. I can only speculate, but I think it may have something to do with the fact that I get more sleep on the weekends. Who knows!

    July Sleevers

We are on the same path: SW:267 VSG date:7/10/17 Surgery weight: 252 Now:209 After losing so rapidly in months one and two it's hard to accept the slow, but consistent loss on month three. Still following my plan to a "T". Most days my breakfast consists of a Premier Protein shake mixed with decaf coffee. I actually love it. It satisfies my sweet tooth. Congrats on your weight loss! You are doing great! Don't let the stalls get you down.

    Sleep

I am 11 weeks out from VSG and I am having the same problem. I wake up between 2:30 and 4:00 and sometimes never fall back asleep before my alarm goes off at 5:45. It's awful! I wish I could give you some tips but I'm still trying to figure it out myself! Good luck!

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

Congrats on reaching an AMAZING milestone! I have to tell you how incredibly uplifting participation in this challenge has been. I was worried about being a "slow" loser, averaging about 1.5-3.0 pounds a week. This challenge has made me realize that everyone loses at a different rate, and my loss is actually quite typical. So comforting!

    Help!

I had a couple days around 5-6 days post op where I felt very hungry. It was hard, but I just powered through it. When I get the urge to eat something off plan, I slow down and ask myself, "Is eating this going to get me closer to my goals?" If the answer is no (which it always is!) I turn away from the food and engage in doing something other than eating. Good luck and stay strong! Your will is stronger than your appetite!
  22. Have any sleevers out there had their sleep apnea resolve post-op? If so, how much weight did you drop before that happened? I've lost 50 pounds since my pre op diet. I still have 77 pounds until my (slightly unrealistic) goal, but I hoped that the apnea would have subsided magically by now. I'm done with this damn mask!

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

    215.0 September 15th Thank you!
  24. We have very similar starting stats, but I have one less kid! I was sleeved on 7/10/17 and was VERY nervous in the weeks leading up to surgery. What got me through was always focusing on the next step and being very prepared. I made all kinds of lists and wrote out all of my goals. Just over two months out I am down 52.4 since the start of my two week pre op diet and I could not be more pleased. Just keep in mind that the anxiety, discomfort, and pain will be temporary, but the sleeve is a tool that will last a life time. You will be so happy you did it!
