  1. My surgery was March 6. I can still only eat small amounts; one egg and maybe 1/2 piece of toast. If I eat Soup, I can eat a little more. chicken wings, 2. Some days I feel hungry all day, and others not hungry at all. Has anyone started eating salad and/or raw veggies at 3 months? I miss salads so much and I'm scared to try!

I'm six weeks out and have been having tiny salads. Just be sure to chew well!

  2. You've got two great suggestions right there: a food scale (doesn't have to be expensive) and some small containers so you can take food with you. You've really got it, but if you're looking for additional items, an attractive water bottle might make it easier for you to drink Water (I've got the Camelbak Eddy, but there are tons of water bottles out there). Also, I got one of those hot water plates for when I started to eat more or less solid food: we have to eat so slowly that my food was stone cold before I even got halfway! As far as cold water goes, you might discover that warm liquids feel better. Everyone's different. And don't worry about getting more food; your tastes might change and that's impossible to predict. Sounds like you're really pretty much ready. Good luck!

  3. I don't think it's our place to advise for or against medication. (Not targeting any one poster here.) That's a personal decision. But I'm sure *information* is useful. @bluebonz36 good luck with your decision: meds, no meds, or even a combination (meds and therapy).

  4. Hi Caitlyn! I don't have magic answers. What I *can* say is that I'm struck by how you have a very realistic handle on your situation. That's just impressive, and it says to me that you are well on your way to success. As far as the job, I'm only 3-1/2 weeks out and returned to work today (at home, just reading and answering my mails from the last few weeks). I didn't notice any particular cognitive fuzziness. As far as the mood effects, I do read that some people have them, but after the first few days of being a little freaked out, I haven't had any problems. As I said, I'm only a few weeks out, but I feel like I'm doing well!
You are intelligent, realistic and positive: try to have faith in yourself. Please keep us posted! [emoji8]
