Molly23 got a reaction from dessyloo in I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
My weight loss has slowed down a lot lately but I know I definitely need to hit the gym more regularly. So excited to be close to goal. The last time I saw the nutritionist she thought that 170lbs would be a good goal for me and we could reassess once I reach it. Today I'm 184lbs and I have my one year surgery anniversary coming up April 20th. Trying to crack down to hopefully be 170 by my annual check-up. Regardless I'm really proud of how far I've come and I know that I can get there with the same focus I've had the last 10-11 months. In the last week or so when I've seen old pictures I don't even recognize that person. Surgery was the best decision I've made!

Molly23 got a reaction from dsapeg69 in Fellow Migraine Sufferers
I've had Migraines on and off since puberty. I can usually attribute mine to my monthly cycle or dehydration. Post op I've had some days that it was difficult to get all of my required Water in and it usually results in a Migraine the next morning. Not getting proper Protein can also do this now. When you initially change your diet it's possible that you'll experience headaches or migraines because it's a change to your normal intake. I changed my diet drastically with the guidance of my NUT about 6 weeks before surgery which I think helped the transition to the post op diet.

    Molly23 got a reaction from trimarie1083 in 6th mth weight fluctuation ?
If you're starting a workout routine it's expected that your appetite will increase and you may even gain a couple of pounds. This is more likely due to building muscle and even possibly some Water retention. Make sure you increase your water intake when you workout more. My NUT recommended adding in some healthy starches to help sustain workouts. I know that we are all programmed to think that eating less is how we lose weight. However, if our body doesn't receive the correct nutrition to sustain exercise it will try to hold onto any fat it has.
I'd recommend reaching out to your NUT to review what you've been eating and any adjustments they might have. If your diet is okay it's possible that you just need another week or so of consistency for your body to start responding how you might expect.

    From a guys Perspective
If a guy makes advances toward you then obviously you have Characteristics that he likes. Don't let your self-conscious thoughts stop you from being intimate. I have found that women that have been Bigger put a lot more effort into pleasing their partner than women that don't have to work as hard to attract a man. Honestly one of the few turn offs for me in the Bedroom is a woman that wont let her self go and enjoy the moment and instead is constantly wondering if i find her attractive. We all have body issues whenever I was in the Marines at 162lbs I still thought I was fat. I am going to give you the Ultimate thing to remember "Fake It Till You Make It" well don't Fake everything lol!!!

Molly23 reacted to OutsideMatchInside in Do you tell a new partner about loose skin?
Men never admit they have small penises up front or say anything about their shortcomings when naked. Why should I handicap myself when men don't.
I've never had a man be like oh girl let me warn you, I don't have a 6 pack!
I don't disclose anything about loose skin and no one has ever commented on it once. I don't hide the fact I have lost weight, but men I date don't even ask me about it or care. They know I'm active.
I've lost a lot of weight. Even though I look good in clothes, you can look at me and tell I used to be fat. The arms are a dead give away. They already know what they are getting into before I take my clothes off.

It's a lovely feeling to just be normal and average! I wish my 14 year old self knew that. Ha! Congratulations on being completely unremarkable when boarding an airplane, nothing-to-see-here when standing in a line to order food, totally un-noteworthy when using a machine at the gym, and living your very best life!!

    (well, almost)

Today I hit 179.6 in the scale... that's .4lbs from normal BMI for 5'11" (and I'm really a smidge over 5'11" so I'm giving myself the .4) Was told it would probably take 1-1.5 years from surgery to get there, but it's only been just under 8 months. Checked with my Nut to make sure I wasn't overdoing it and she wasn't worried and said I was doing great. Started this journey about a year ago at just over 285... couldn't be happier!

(that arm candy next to me is my ultra supportive, beautiful wife of 19 years who has also reaped the benefits from the nutritional education and new habits)

Almost 9 months from surgery. I've lost 125lbs so far. Last time I met the nutritionist she said my goal should be around 170 so I only have 15lbs until I hit that. I plan to reassess how I feel at that weight and if I'm happy at 170 or if I want to lose more. I've taken up sewing over the last few months and customizing my clothes for my changing body is a huge help since I'm losing more in different places and don't always fit well into ready to wear clothes. I made myself the first form fitting dress ever and hopefully find somewhere to wear it soon!
