What causes a port to flip? How do you know if port has flipped?

Lost 28 kilos so far, but eating too too much now, been slack with excercise, know got to get back into it, my next fill not till late may 2008, ohh got to do it got to work real hard on own, well sort of on own till refil, the doctor asked if i wanted fill last time or leave as was i said little refil, should of said just fill not mention the little.

My specialist said erosion is very rare, and occurs if band too tight, i thought the specialist would know before band being made too tight? and feedback?

I just went to goggle and entered craig harper, and also went to goggle and entered appetite right , pressed search and walah the sites come up. Going to check out welcome to camp system now ,have been reading blogs, and boy oh boy dont the photos in the blogs tell a story too.

Was just thinking the other day, have my shoes stretched, or did my feet shrink, think my feet arent as fatty as they were, well my hands and rest of me face etc arent.

My port is just above the waist and sticks up and moves, someone said to tell them i had a hernia operation and there is some scar tissue there, that is from the meshing that was put in there, does that sound feasible????? it is just on my waist line on left hand side?? havent been intimate yet due to this???????:tongue:

Yep my port is around the waist and noticably sticks out, have lost 28 kilos and is more noticable now, as that is the slimest part of me, so yes am interested too.

I find craig harpers website, and appetite right website are two great motivational and informative websites, does anyone know of any other good sites, if so please share, thanx, and of course this is by far the best.

Well i am going to stick to good wholegrain carbs when have carbs and up the Protein, but dont know how i fitted that frankfurta i had for lunch on corn thins and quarter of cup of peas for lunch into the equation, shouldnt of had such junk -- frankfurta, but hey it was boiled not a fried greasy sausage so when for the better alternative, got to keep the better choices happening, even as in this case being the better of the two evils.

Going to schedule 30 to 40 minute walk, either outside or treadmill everyday, because of the treadmill hey can even do more no matter what time, going to try other excercise to, i also have the walker type arm and leg type machine, so here goes will definately make that effort and in turn it gota pay off, or at least make me more toned.

I seem to need my skinny flat white fix once a day otherwise i have a headache, but will keep my coffee to one or two a day. If i dont have my fix get a headache, but i am also trying to cut down and give up smoking too.

Thank you for your reply, my friend has not been doing excercise, were as i have. but when i get filled next time will stay on the liquids for two days, i am eating everything - but sensible foods, so i am changing my life so will stick to that then, even though may be slower i know will keep off this time.

Hey y'allI now have a recent pic (taken tonight) of me looking decent enough for a photo since my op! I am best man at my friends wedding next weekend and I got a quick snap taken of my trying on my suit! I think I look hot!! (not really LMAO).

Slimmy - I don't have the "science" behind they why, but in my case I really just lost the craving for my "Carbs" which I defined as the P's:Pretzles

I was never a "sweet" tooth, but give me something salty ... YUM. My total downfall. Right now, I feel I have to add some Carbs into my diet (complex ones) because I'm working out pretty hard & some days I get a little dizzy & my trainer is like you have to eat more carbs...Can't be 100% Protein. He's right...but for me in the beginning I had to break my addiction so to speak, and cut them out all together - None in the house, ya get the idea.

I try replacing carbs for veggies (lots of it!) but i still have carbs (complex ones, not hollow) I eat dark bread, wholegrain pasta/rice, oatmeal. Beans are good (all sorts, garbanzo beans, peas, lentils, etc) they're good source for healthy Protein.< /div>Thank you for telling me what you doing, worked for you, will try and get on the right track as you are,thanx
Hi i was wondering how you are going, any problems, what you eating,how much , how much have you lost - my starting weight was 102 and i have lost 27.7 kilos so far, what has happened how are you going??
Can you tell me as it seems lots of people lose weight by low carb and high Protein, what it does why it is so good, are there any things i should do? i know high protein not good for kidneys, so does that mean drink drink drink more Water. please summerise what needs to be done . many thanks, seems to work for you guys, was reading the low carb threads, thanx.

My friend had the lap band placed one month after me had less to lose than me and had lost 20kg more than me so far, she says some days or at least 3 or 4 a week all she has is 5 or 6 Protein Soups the soups are 300calories each. Is this healthy to do? she says she will only do till she reaches her goal which is another 10kilos? anyone else doing this? her doctor told her to have fluids for 2 to 3 days after the tightening, mine never told me this, i have had 4 fills, she has had 3 so far. Her doctor told her doing what she is doing was good if it worked for her. any ideas??
Thanx will followup all the brand names, and thought yeh why not ask in my health store.
