So incredible! This journey isn't aways easy, but is sooooo worth it! I am 6.5 months out, I was sleeved on 4-27-17. My highest was 343, SW 328, CW 241....I am down 102.7!!! 66 more to reach goal. I can't wait to take my "after" pics! You are such an inspiration, one day at a time, right?!?! This surgery is the best thing I have ever done for myself....just keep swimming!!!!!

My doc said at least 3 months in between, I ended up with 4 months. I know there are some that will do it all in one surgery, but most will not. It was a lot to go through, but the BEST thing I have ever done!!!! Good luck!

Hang in there, it really does get better! I am 4 months post op and have lost 92.7 lbs. Some days are easier than others, but believe me it is so worth it! Once you are through all the stages and are eating real food, it does get better. Just keep telling yourself that loosing the weight is better than anything you could eat. I am already moving around so much better and feeling amazing! Though I am only half way to my goal, I already feel like I have my life back. This surgery is the BEST thing I have ever done! 2 months after my surgery, my husband was scheduled to have a back fusion, and during the pre op physical our doc noticed a slight change in his EKG, and sent him for a stress test. The stress test caused a heart attack, and they ended up discovering he had 5 blockages around his heart. One was 80% blocked, one was 90%, and three of them were 100% blocked. He ended up having open heart quadruple bypass, and then a few short weeks later, he had to have 3 stents put in the bypasses. The surgeon said if they hadn't caught this before his back surgery, he would NOT have survived it. My husband is a firefighter and is very active. He had no high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, or any family history at all. He has to get a physical every year for work, and they never found anything. My point in telling you all of this is to remind you just how important your health is, and that the things you eat every day really do have an affect on your life. Yes, we all did this to lose weight, but even more importantly we need to be healthier. We only get one shot at this life, and once it's over, there are no second chances. I nearly lost my husband, so if we need to restrict our diet to keep him healthy and alive.....honey I would do ANYTHING! I know it's not always easy to think positively about your surgery and how it has changed your life, but what it will do for you is much more than weight, it will save your life

Try adding a little low fat milk to your eggs before you scramble. It makes them light and fluffy!

I am adhering to the more strict version of the meal plan....at least while I still need to lose. Once I get to maintenence, I will splurge from time to time on the sugary things. For now they are too much of a trigger for me to all things bad!

I was also sleeved on the 27th....hope you are doing well! None of this is easy, so this is a great place for support!

I am 4 weeks post op today and have lost a total of 49 lbs, 24 since surgery. I am still supplimenting with shakes to up my Protein. I LOVE my shake mix! I use Bariatric Advantage (you can get it on Amazon) the chocolate one, then I mix in a half serving of the PB2 powder and it soooooo tastes like a reeces pb egg! Plus the PB2 ups the protein to just under 30g per 8oz shake! Try it you guys, trust me you will love it! Starting phase 5 today, but still mostly eating scrambled eggs and Soup. Also drinking Isopure grape to add protein. Going to try some other things for dinner tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed! Let me know what you think if you try my PB2 trick with the chocolate shakes =)

Hitting the egg stage seems exciting, but you can't eat enough to really do too much. Lol! Although I've only been in this stage for a couple of days I still drink my Protein Shakes to get my Protein in. My NUT told me that eating will get easier. I can only take her word for it. I read somewhere that the goal in phase 3 and 4 is to get in 6 oz of food. Today that seems impossible!!! Lol. That's sounds crazy to hear myself saying I can't eat 6 oz of food!!!! We'll get through this together!!!!
Oh yes, I completely expect to be supplimenting with shakes for a while until I can get all my Protein without it. I also really like the Isopure Protein Drinks. really helps in this first stage after surgery!

I am scheduled for sleeve surgery on 4-27, and I am on day 9 of my 12 day liquid diet. I have done well, with the exception of not drinking enough Water. I am worried though, because the weight is not coming off like I feel it should. I definitely feel a big difference, but my scale hasn't moved in 4 days. I had a kidney stone this week, which made me very sick. I had lots of chicken broth, and a couple of nights I had a few saltines because I felt so sick. I finally went to the hospital last night, and actually passed the stone in the ER. They said I had no infection and was ok to have the surgery. My concern now is my weight. My doc relys on weight loss to show compliancy with the pre-op diet. I don't know if it is because of the kidney stone, all the sodiium I had this week, or the crackers I ate. I just really need to get my scale to move, or I'm afraid my doc won't do my surgery! It has been such a tough week being in such pain AND being sooo hungry. I'm frustrated and scared. I would really appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!

Yes, thanks so much! From my highest weight I have been dropping since the beginning of the year. I have been trying not to weigh myself during this pre op diet. Just want to be surprised at the hospital! I am nervous a little, but mostly just excited.

I'm having my surgery in 6 days, and this is what I have packed. Nightgown, robe, and slippers, they will have you up and walking a lot. I packed lotion and chap stick, hospitals are always so dry. Toiletries to clean up, hairbrush and elasics. I know they tell you not to bring valuables, but my husband will be watching over my stuff....I have loaded my tablet with a dozen of my favorite movies, lots of music, and a good book. The internet in hospitals is weak at best, so you can't count on that for Netflix! I also put some nail polish in my bag. Gives me something to do, and it makes you feel pretty =) And lastly, comfy elastic waist clothes to go home in. I am leaving a pillow and blanket in the car for the ride home, our drive is almost 2 hours! Good luck with your surgery!

I'm having my surgery 4-27, and have been on shakes for 6 days now. I have 4 more days of shakes, then 2 days of Clear Liquids. These next 6 days can't go fast enough!!!

I had my band out the end of December and 4-27 I finally get my sleeve. Unfortunately I didn't find out until AFTER my band was removed that I need my gallbladder out. My doc is going to try and do it at the same time as the sleeve, but may not be able to. If he can't I will have to wait 6 weeks and then have a third surgery. My advice is to get your ultrasound done BEFORE the band removal so you don't end up with my problem. Good luck!

27th, almost there!

27th for me.....I'm so ready! EVERYTHING is done, and I've been on shakes for 6 days already! 4 more days of shakes, then 2 of just Clear Liquids. Hope everyone who already had theirs this month is doing well =)
