Hey, I had my surgery March 26th. My first week of recovery was horrible (the reason being is because I could not stomach my painkillers). I depended on my high pain tolerance, sitting in the shower under a hot shower and just taking deep breaths. I would say that week 2 was way better. I started drinking my shakes and protein water. I am almost 1 month out and the changes my body has gone through has been amazing. I get a full nights sleep!! I touched my big toe to my nose tonight!! I can walk without having to sit down!! This surgery is the best tool ever. It will not be all Sunshine and rainbows so do prepare for that. The first week I cried at every food commercial I saw lol. You got this.
oh, listen with a grain of salt. maybe they are trying to be helpful....maybe not. You'll be okay. it's scary though. but my surgery was 3 weeks ago. with the exception of an allergic reaction to the prep solution on my torso - all is good. and as of 4/13 - i've lost 28 pounds!!! very exciting. people have noticed already. my dimples had returned - ha! ( on my face ) get excited. plow through the next few days....best of luck to you!
