How did you go GoddessMoon? How do you feel???
I feel good actually! I came home on 12-3. I am suprised how good I feel. The nurses were saying I need to be motivation for the other patients because as soon as I came to when they moved me to my room I got in my regular pjs with a nurses help and I got up and moving. I walked 3 times a day. My bp was up most the time but the last few hrs I was in there it was stable. The hospital broth did not agree with me so I ate Jello and popsicles mostly and drank Water. The gas wasn't so bad either..I finally passed gas 2nd day and had a bm before I left and another when I got home. My inscions are good. They told me not to cover them as they have a liquid sealant on them and they are already itching like crazy. I lost 4pounds while in there 3 days...only thing is hard right now is getting my liquids in to be honest. It is a struggle but my surgeon said he does them a little smaller than most but it will get better as the weeks come. He wanted to see me again on Thurs but I do not live close by so he told me switch to soft foods Friday and come see him on the 14th for a check up. I dont regret anything at all.

I use to not have one..then when it came it was really really heavy. I became severely anemic cause of it. I think your obgyn should be concerned because when it comes it may be out of control since you haven't had one.

And keep up the enthusiasm, it's gonna be an incredible experience
Yes I cleaned it when I took my first shower and then used the surgery soap. I will do it again when I get up! Thank you!

If you read my post, I had a lapband years ago and this was suppose to revise that (which was $1000 more) and do the sleeve. In regards to you question, its hard to tell what difference it would feel. What finally happened is the lap got more and more constrictions that I had to have fixed. My gastro dr ordered the upper GI and CT which showed no sleeve before he had to start doing EGDs.
I wasn't trying to come off rude, I can be outspoken, so if I offended you..my apologies.

Alex also asked who your surgeon was..
I don't believe this..you just found out last year you didn't have the surgery complete. Did you not have any restrition when you ate?

As long as you get back on track you should be fine. Don't get back off track again. You can do this...this is to better your health. That coconut rice is not worth it.

Well it has been said that spouses or family members may be jealous of the new you. You haven't had it yet and yours is already showing the signs. If he doesn't want to better his health, that is on him but as your partner in life he should be supporting you. You have to do what you can for your health. Hopefully he will come around.

If I breath it hurts everything radiates in my shoulder, I called my surgent and he informed me it has to do with a diaphragm and it’s very sensitive and it triggers my shoulder , this pain has not let me sleep and I have zero pain on my abdomen, has any one experience this pain after surgery?
How long have you been post of? If fairly new sounds like gas.

I definitely don't recommend the pull out method I would recommend going to see a obgyn so you can get your periods regulated, I use to be the same way and when the periods finally kicked back in...they were really heavy and messy...and I am severely anemic because of it. My blood count was that of a 9 year old my doc said. Sooo, I wouldnt wait I would get a hold of it now.
dreamingsmall reacted to this -
A drain is usually put in because there is excess blood after surgery that needs to be removed. If you will not be around your doctor while it is still in, I would ask them about that before you left.

I never had to do liquid,my bmi was really high so I have been on a strict diet since April and I do 2 protien shakes and keep everything else low carb low sugar low cal. I lost 90 on my own and now that my surgery is Thursday I am still just cutting back and exercising every day twice a day because I want to be down more come time. Try exercising if you are not doing so it will make a big difference.

Day 12? Sheesh...I know that had to be uncomfy. I already have some milk of mag just in case I don't go on my own. Pain and Constipation sounds like a nuisance lol

I started by checking into Doctors that took medicaid and then i was referred to some Surgeons that do most of the procedures around here. Medicaid requires you be under your PCP on a strict diet for 6mo. You will have to have proof of this before you will be able to go further,Once you have done that then everything else will fall in place with the surgeons and psychologist and so on. It has taken me since March of 2016 to get where I am now and my surgery is Thursday.

So sorry to read that you are in pain. Are you feeling better yet? What was the drainage tube for?
Usually Drainage tube is if you have excess bleeding after surgery. They put in a tube to drain it
SeaSounders♥ reacted to this -
I have that. Medicaid requires you 6 months dieting under your PCP. If you dont do the 6 months they may not approve it.

Yea I understand. I am not craving food but I did have a tude when my fam member ate a twix in the car. It smelled so good!! Lol. So I just kept sipping my water and was glad when she was done eating it lol. It will take us awhile to get 64 oz in. I do what I can because I don't want to be dehydrated. Keep up the good work!
