Oh and I didn’t start eating it till I was in the puréed stage.

I started with applesauce and puréed pears. I’m over 6 months and still have issues with constipation. I use Benefiber 2x’s a day. As long as I use it I go once a day. I miss taking any and I don’t go the next day. I actually bought the Walmart brand of the Benefiber. It’s a little cheaper.
  3. I use these and they are great.
  4. I have been making iced lattes with my caramel or vanilla premier Protein. Now it’s getting cold I like to have hot lattes. Has anyone ever warmed up the premier protein???
  5. I'm 5 months and I get 800 to 1000.
  6. I ate sugar free popsicles. That helped a lot. I also filled ice trays that made the little round ice cubes with power aid and crystal light and would eat those through out the day. It gets better. Just stay on top of it. I agree with@Brandij124 as you go you have less restrictions. I can get 64+ ounces of water down easy now and only had a struggle with food on 2 occasions. I'm 5 months post op now and had my first stall. Just remember each part has its ups and downs.
  7. I'm 5 months post op as of the 13th. I've wanted a glass of wine for a month now. Anyone had wine since surgery?
  8. Has anyone eaten Quinoa after gastric sleeve surgery?? I found a recipe that looks great but not sure how that would work. I haven't had any pasta, rice, oatmeal, bread or anything like that since before my 2 week post op diet.
  9. I'm 4 months post op and 2 days late on my monthly visitor. Had my tubes tied in 2006. I'm wondering if the weight loss and hormone changes could cause a missed/late menstrual cycle.
  10. Mine said the same thing. 1oz per 15 minutes. I poured a 4oz drink and would drink over an hours time. Even doing that faithfully I struggled to get the 64oz a day they said to drink. I was lucky if I got 30oz but I never got dehydrated. I did drink it a little to fast one time and felt nauseous but it passed quick. I've drank my protein shake too fast 2x's since then and still get a little nauseous and I'm almost 4 months post op.
  11. I'm surprised I'm not unemployed, divorced and childless. I even hated myself at times. [emoji23]
  12. I bought unflavored protein powder and added to my broth. Also premier protein and protein 2o has protein water.
  13. I started feeling normal again about a month ago. I'm almost 4 months post op. Only issue I have now is sleeping. When I lay on either of my sides it starts to hurt and I wake up and flip flop all night.
  14. I drank water constantly and stayed busy. I watched tv but recorded everything so I could fast forward through commercials. I had lots of anxiety about it before I started but it's wasn't as bad as I though and it went faster than I thought. Sugar free jello becAme my BFF. Lol. It also helped that all my co workers knew and no one asked me to go to lunch or ate anything in front of me (well one ate a banana and after I said to go away or i would slap it out if his hand no one did it again.). [emoji16]
  15. I bought mine at CVS and it's adult strength. It's over with the pain relievers and is red.
  16. I take liquid Tylenol. My Dr said I can take pills but I stick with the liquid because it seems like it works faster than the pills did prior to surgery.
  17. Mine is "what would you like to drink?" "Nothing" "are you sure?" "Yes". "Your sure you don't want anything?" " yes I'm sure". Then they ask me 2 to 3 more times. Ugh!
  18. That's weird. Mine are normally $16.99. I think they had a coupon this time that made them cheaper but that's not the normal price.
  19. Do you have a Sam's near you? They sell them there in 12 packs for $16.99.
  20. I'm sure it's because his stomach has to be empty. I couldn't drink anything after midnight the night before my surgery. When he gets in pre op they will start IV's for his fluid.
  21. Started decaf coffee at 2 months post op. I'm 3 months now and started caffeine coffee last week. No issues. I use either fat free half&half or sugar free coffee mate.
  22. One week. Used Miralax and was lucky if I went once every 4 day. Went to dr and she said use 2x's a day. Started that and had diarrhea but felt like (this is gross sorry) it was going around some that was stuck. Switched to Benefiber and I take that 2x's a day and I go once a day now and I'm 3 months post op.
  23. I've heard the same thing. I haven't noticed a difference in my taste. I did have an issue with texture (shake thickness) at first. But it's gotten better now. I'm almost 3 months post op.
  24. My surgeon told me at my 6 week check up I could take pills again, however I'm still too chicken and continue with chewable vitamins and liquid Tylenol and Zyrtec. lol
  25. It's the same as crystal light. Just the Walmart brand.
