Thought everyone, would like to,know I have lost,15 pounds since August 1st on my,liver-shrinking diet, and I am exceptionly proud,of ME. I never have been able to,lose, have the Basal,Metabolism Rate of a sicks🐌snail on antidepressants . So Hurray for Frustr8, cause I worked very very hard following that 1000
calorie, diet. And since August 1st is a long t8me. But,maybe my,liver will,be small, and flat, and that will make my surgeon super happy.

I'm 56. My beginning weight was 282. I had 6 months of supervised diet, 5 meetings with psychologist and surgery on 4/5/18. Today I am 201. I have finally learned food is fuel, not entertainment. I feel so much better and am so much more active. I have had a few stalls. I realized I need to drink half my weight of Water in ounces every day to lose weight (100 oz.). I have also changed up my exercise from walking and the gym to now swimming. I have a swim coach that is teaching me proper form and he is kicking my body into shape. Best decision of my life!!!!

I have long hair as you might have seen in my previously posted pics. I love it and don't want to cut it but the Hair loss is so annoying!
Filling my brush and everytime I run my fingers through I come out with more strands

So, I was interested in how much I had lost month by month so I did a quick chart for myself. I am a slow loser compared to some but I am still very very happy at the weight I have lost so far.
I would be very interested in how much otehrs have lost month by month
    here's mine so far
Weight lost on preop - 19lbs
    1 month after surgery - 22lbs
    2 months after surgery - 9lbs

I have done this too, today actually.

I bought a sausage sandwich from the supermarket deli counter and could only eat a third of it.

I was driving so after about half an hour, I ate another third and when I got home, I warmed it back up and ate the last third. I didn't feel good about it at all but reasoned it wasn't a massive thing as it was roughly 350 cals and it was all I had had up to that point (1pm).

I did post about a very similar thing a while back, probably when I was just a month out myself. I feared that I could wreck the whole thing by constantly doing this. However, I do have my head screwed on most of the time and I haven't continued to do that. I agree with Orchids solution, if you want to eat more but know you shouldn't, trash it so you are unable to, that way you don't have to fight your willpower.

That's okay Funky Monkey, I contributed then and I'm back again. I wish my Bariatric Program has taken a picture,of me for reference in the Baiatric Clinic Waiting Room as I had my last Pre-Surgery consult next to the Signboard they have. Got Tomkitten (my son) to take some at home and I want one of me in my surgical patient gown and cap, just before I get wheeled away to the OR. With a blue surgical shower-type cap it won't matter that my hair is light ginger red aka strawberry Blonde and The gown will be OSU scarlet and gray. And my REBIRTHDAY will be starting and I will never be the same! This is GOOD for the way I am now is not worth writing home about! 9-05-2018 and everthing will be made new! AND I CAN HARDLY WAIT!

If you can manage it, do it. I thought I had taken plenty of before pics but, there are very few that show in a clear light, what I actually looked like.
More so, I wish I had taken skin pics, as in a bra and pants type photo as I know I have changed so much but don't really have any unclothed pics to compare it with.

The more you take, the more you have to compare with later on when you lose all the weight, its such a boost, honestly.

Diet preachers are so irritating. I have someone in my life right now that won't stop pushing high-fat Keto (85% or more) on me. I've tried it, and it is not for me. Many people find themselves not hungry on that plan....I am ravenous, and I honestly find it kind of gross. Others are pushing plant based all the time. A great option if it works for you, but I not only enjoy dairy and meat but I lose better and feel better when I eat it. There is no one right way for anyone. The only diet that works is one you can stick with, something that is realistic for you and helps you mentally and physically feel good. I've always done best on moderate carb, moderate fat, high Protein, lots of veggies...and Portion Control. That's why I am choosing this surgery, because it will help me restrict my portions and push me toward protein and veggies while not completely eliminating carbs. That doesn't work for everyone, and I wouldn't push it on anyone. I wouldn't suggest any eating plan unless someone brought it up and asked. You can politely decline a food without getting into a whole speech about how gluten blows you up or how cows milk should only be ingested by baby cows. Just say "No, thank you." You can add a simple, "I refrain from X" if you must. If someone asks, and you are comfortable, by all means, give advice. You might help them. If they haven't asked though, no need to get into the details. Anyone dealing with any diet preachers?

    21 lbs pre-op

3 months post sx: 10 lbs
    In last three weeks: 8

    Hw: 255
    CW: 172
    GW: 150

I think I’ve lost very quickly, and I don’t know why. I’ve been very careful with the diet and just started having a few nibbles of carbs and the occasional treat in the last couple of weeks.

Fabulous, encouraging, I still have to make it through two-fer-ville to get to one-derland, might tak a year might even take 18 months, I am 72 and have a natural Basal Metabolism Rate of a depressed 🐌, somebody gave me a 2033 reading but I'll make it. I would tell you to watch my jet trail but it's probably going to be tiny 🚝choo choo train puffs of smoke, but I will make it there. If you don't get,all bored you are invited to watch!!!

I razor-cut 12 inches of my hair off, into a mid-length bob. It looks awesome and any thinning around my temples is mostly masked. And as a bizarre side benefit, people seem to know SOMETHING is different about me but wouldn't likely mention weight loss, so they're all being insanely complimentary about the haircut.
