    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

I clicked on your profile but could not find a link to your inbox. I would love to hear your routine as you've done great! I am definitely in need of some pointers.
  2. Ok, so I am almost 14 months Post-op and for the past month I have stopped losing. In fact, I go up-and-down the same couple of pounds weekly. I find that I am eating more carbs and less protein. In general, i am able to eat more food than I could those 1st few months after surgery. Has anyone re-set their sleeve by returning to the diet that we were following right after surgery? I'm wondering if I should go back to the liquid diet for a week or so and then follow up with pureed foods? Has anyone done this? I want to get back to the point where my stomach feels full faster. Any tips on re-setting the sleeve? Also, I've never been great about getting in all the water. I probably get about 32 ounces a day at most. Has anyone seen a big difference in weight loss when they increased their water intake?
  3. Oh yes, I've tried all the fad diets too. I just didn't know if there was a supplement that would boost my metabolism. The reason I'm asking is because I notice so.e people have lost 125 lbs in the same time it's taken me to lose 63. I know everyone's different but I just Ser so many huge losses that I guess I'm disappointed l. I'm older as well.
  4. Thank you so, so much. I just checked out the tdee calculator and entered my info. I'm going to use the micronutrients suggested under the cutting (Lowe carb) tab and see where that takes me. Do you take any supplements to help with the loss (fish oil, Apple cider vinegar, etc)
  5. What is considered dense protein?
  6. I think I do need to up my fluid intake.

    Blessed Journey

Wow, you look great! Congratulations on your success. Keep up the good work.
  9. You look great, congratulations. I just reached 1 year and have lost 59 pounds. I feel as though it should have been more than that by now. I keep hovering at the same weight for 5 or 6 weeks now. I'm worried that this is it for me. Did you continue to lose in your 2nd year?

This could be mr writing this post. I am also 5'4" ive lost 57 pounds dincr my high point and i now way 183. Pretty similar, huh? I am 11 months out from surgery and I have basically been in a stall for a couple of months. It is very frustrating to see other people lose well over a 100 pounds in the time it's taken me to lose 57. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for those who have done so well, I am just frustrated with my lack of loss. I know I should be ecstatic with 57 pounds gone, and I am grateful. I just need to lose more. When you visit your doctor would you please post any tips that they give you? I would really appreciate it. As I said, it sounds like you and I are in a very similar situation. Thanks

    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

You look fantastic. Would you mind sharing your routine, such as typical daily food intake (calories, carbs, etc) and typical exercise routine? I would really appreciate any help you can give me. I am almost one year out and only down about 55 pounds. I've been in a stall for 6 or 7 weeks. did you always drink lots of water? Did you eat a lot of protein? I was trying to read the guidelines you posted from your surgeons but I am not able to read them as they are too small. thanks for any help you can give me Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Thank you so, so much for your valuable advice. I really appreciate it. You mentioned that you walk 5 miles a day. Did this come easy to you or did you have to work-up to it? I'm definitely going to try adding more protein. Did you do protein shakes a lot?
  15. Congratulations on your accomplishment! You look great! Do you have any tips on how you lost the weight? I am 10 months out and am stuck at a 55 pound loss. I can't seem to get past this stall and it's been several weeks What would a typical day look like for you? did you eat a lot of protein and cut-out carbs? how about exercise? Thanks for any help you can give me
  16. I completely understand what you are saying. I think most of us are afraid of gaining back the weight. I would probly just let go of a few of the lads are size items and keep the others. On another note, I am stuck for over 5 weeks at the same weight i am afraid I will not reach goal. Can you give me any pointers on how you finally broke through? What is that keto thing you did? Thank you for any help you can give me

    Seven Years Out

Thank you so, so much for your response. It really helps because I feel like my path sounds a lot like yours. I am a slow slow loser as well and hit multiple stalls along the way. I am not great about exercising but I have been putting in more of an effort the past 8 weeks. Im definitely more active because as you lose weight it becomes so much easier to move. I do make a conscious effort to take stairs, park further away and just plain get up and walk around more often. I am definitely going to increase my protein intake and water intake. I think that will make a big difference. Thanks again for your help. Congratulations on your success

    Seven Years Out

I was just inspired by this because it gave me hope. I am about 9 months out and kind of disappointed because I've been stuck at a 52 pound weight-loss for 5 weeks. I thought it would be more by-now. Believe me, I know losing the 52 pounds is a good thing but I am really not near my goal and I only have maybe 11 weeks to go before I reach the year mark. Knowing that you continued to lose weight after one year makes me feel better. May I ask what your diet looked like or consisted of during the weight-loss period? Did you drink tons of water and eat lots of protein? Did you restrict carbs quite a bit? lastly, how often do you think you exercised? Sorry for all the questions but I am at a standstill. Do you know of a way to get out of this platto? Congratulations on your success And I appreciate any advice you can give me.
  19. Congratulations! I am 9 months out and have only lost 53. Trust me, I'm grateful for the loss but feel I get should have been more. I have been stuck at 53 pounds lost for almost 5 weeks. Can you give me any pointers? do you exercise a lot? Do you drink tons of water? I'm just wondering what your typical day looks like because you've done so well.
  20. Thanks. I'll try switching it up
  21. Lol, I knew the minute I used the word "only" that someone was going to call me out on it. I hear ya! However, I am pretty frustrated. I've been stuck at the same weight for more than a month. This was a huge step to take to have the end results be a 50 pound loss. I know everyone is different and loses at different rates but I really need some tips on how to jumpstart loss when you're in a stall. Do you have any advice?
  22. Congratulations, you look amazing. I'm 9 months post o.o and I'm only down 51 pounds. I have been stuck at the same weight for 5 weeks. Can you give me any pointers? What did you typically eat? Do you exercise a lot? Any tips you can give will be greatly appreciated.
  23. I had my surgery in September of 2016. I have lost 44 pounds to date. I know many people have lost much more than this. I think the main problem is that I have not been very good about exercising. Is there anyone out there that began their exercise routine five or six months after surgery? I'm wondering if it is too late? I suppose it is never too late to begin exercising. Also, How much protein do most of you eat in a day? I'm wondering if I'm not getting enough protein. Would increasing the protein help me lose more?
